Best a/t tire nowadays?

I know that bfg's used to be the best,but I also know that they are old in design and a lot of tires have came about since then. Im getting some new 265/75/16's and want your opinions. I have seen older threads on here about a/t's but I didnt know if newer ones have captured your hearts Thanks guys!

Glad to hear that...I just ordered a set of duratracs yesterday!

 

The sleeper at tire is yokohama geolandar ats. I've had them on 2 different trucks now. Get the p rated.

Love these tires!! Run them on my jeep and got my dad to get them for his truck. Only complaint is they aren't quite rugged enough looking for my tastes.

 

Goodyear Duratracs, Nitto Terra Grapplers and BFG All Terrains.


I personally run the BFGs...I've owned Nittos and the Hankooks as well but like these the best.

 

I like the Discoverer AT3s I have now, but I also had the Geolander AT-S on my last vehicle, and they were good too.

 

I had hankook at's on my '07 and have terra grapplers on my '13. They both ride good. Not crazy about the look of the sidewall of the terra grapplers. When they wear down I'll probably run BFG's or Duratracs.

 

Michelen AT2 tires, cooper discovery at3 , Geolander at's are all tires i recommend using.

 

I'd vote duratracs for all-terrain. I run firestone mt's and love em. long tread life for a mt if rotated and aired right. Hard to believe duratracs are considered an a/t. I think they are pretty aggressive.

 

I purchased a set of Goodyear Wrangler Adventures w/Kevlar about a month ago. I've been in snow, black ice, rain, mud, and dry conditions and I am thoroughly impressed with the performance so far. They're surprising quiet as well. Very little road noise.

 

Anything besides bfg rugged terrain

 

I've run Nitto, bfg at, bfg mud, hankook, duratracs. In Colorado. Duratracs are nice but didn't last long. Hankooks had similar performance and lasted 60k miles...great tire. Doesn't look as aggressive as others but does its job. If you're not in mud at all, I'd go Hankook dynapro atm. They're on my wifes Sequoia and will stay there. BFG muds(siped) on mine now, 255/85(pizza cutters)....will go Hankooks next. my 2 cents.

 

I like my nitto terragrapplers, my firestone destination ATs were nice too.

 

Dura tracs were really nice on my ranger but IDK how they wore because I traded it for the taco after only like a year.

 

Don't want go thread jack but what about an all terrain sized at 275/70/17?
