What's up with the shock? Broke the lower mount?

That's what I'm thinking, it isn't strapped and it should be. I have straps sitting in my garage, waiting to be mounted. I waited to long >.< The landing was more than the shocks could handle. it's not that big of a difference in te ride. Just really loud. I try to keep things down a notch now. My thing with this truck.. Is that almost to the day every year, my trucks breaks something simi major. The craziest thing.. Is that it's that month in the year where something breaks.. This is the third year in a row. I should of saw it coming

Word to the wise...don't top off your tank.

I did it completely by accident last weekend, pump was reading wrong so I kept filling thinking the pump was broken...ended up spilling out the filler neck.

Now I'm throwing 5 codes and a check engine light...looks like I flooded the charcoal canister. Definitely a costly lesson learned, I think Toyota wants a few hundred bucks for a new one plus an hour or two for install.

I don't think straps would make a difference really. You're pulling stock or close to stock travel. I do think you need to get your shocks replaced at the bare minimum but if you plan on buying that TC kit, then you'll be good since you will be upgrading basically everything.

How did you do that? Aren't the fuel fillers designed to stop the pump when you are full?

Exactly! why waste the money. I'm not all to worried about it. Just found out that for some reason the 2.0 for my year make and model, won't work with the TC mid travel kit that's designed for my truck. They said they will do some back ground search and get back to me. But I'm pretty bummed. Like why?

Not all gas stations have the Technology that most shells have. My gas station will pump until money runs out. It's just an old station. And that sounds like a second gen problem

Ones built for your truck would be like a stock replacement (shorter shock/less travel). For your kit, if you use the same shock mount on the guys truck whom you are buying the kit from, you can use any old 8" shock off the shelf.

Are you positive it's a mid travel setup? Because TC didn't make mid travel kits for your year/model truck.

Man, I must have lucked out. I just did this in Mojave a couple weekends ago. I was filling up a the stations by the airport and since I was towing a rzr all the way back home I figured I'd just top off a little...well the thing stopped on it's own the first time, but didn't stop when I went to top off and I must have spilled over about a 1/4 gallon. Luckily no codes at all...knock on wood.

Don't be so sure...I topped off my tank 2 weekends ago, and it just threw the codes yesterday.

I'm actually not sure that it's mid travel. He says it is though. I found a thread on another site of guys talking about a mid travel kit by tc back when it was developed in 08. There's also a video on YouTube of a gopro watching some tc mt action on an 04 Tacoma. hat's what the title inclined anyways. An the guy thats selling it has the same year and model as i Do. I'll google it when I'm out of the hospital. Thanks for being concerned
