Sure, it's a cool rig.. But $36k, for an '08 with over 100,000 miles - fairly generic mods, and a spacer block lift in the rear..

Me thinks it's too much $$$

It was built by that AT Overland company. In my opinion there stuff is way overpriced, anyhow..

They cater to the if you have to ask you can't afford it crowd. Their stuff is extremely well built, but you're paying for the name and "prestige" of AT logo.

I'll be purchasing one of their dual fridge partner steel stove slides this summer and have no reservation paying the asking price.

Dammnit.. I said "there" instead of their..

Just like anything else, there's premium for a "name". I guess I'm partial to ARB.. So I can't point fingers.

    Whatever works.

Still think it's overpriced - but that's just my opinion.

I agree on the overpriced, but some things I'll overpay for.

Roger.. Yup the overpriced reference was to the truck. Didn't mean to diss your fridge slide.

On my phone on a fishing boat in the Bering Sea. Makes editing tough.

I agree. There's a lot that I could build; but somethings I know I could never build it to the quality I'd want; makes more sense to pay a little extra for a quality product.

I am with you on that - way, way overpriced. There is nothing special about that truck unless you're into red vinyl and some fairly cheap parts.

I would be more impressed if it had a Total Chaos long travel kit and a nice rear suspension. I've never been impressed with FOX shocks or anything from All Pro. The All Pro LCAs on their long travel kit are notorious for sucking debris into the suspension, as they don't have a skid plate like the Total Chaos or Icon LCA's.

No skid plates, three seats, etc. Why go through the trouble of wiring in an air compressor and a rear ARB air locker and not installing one in the front - especially if you're re-gearing?

It sounds as if there are a lot of little issues with the truck. The steering box is probably a victim of the All Pro suspension. I hope the new owner has some time and money to sort that out.

There's about $5k of used parts in that truck and an '08 DCLB with 106k on the odometer and some known issues - that put's it right around $22k or so.

    - Mark

Agreed that it was overpriced, but someone didn't think so. It was sold a couple months ago

Seems like the caps for the 2nd gens line up better with DCs more the ACs. And even less with the SC's

    IMG00054_6039a4c0e585e06d77e1be5651d0083b195e50a8.jpg

First gen's roof doesn't curve so much.

    You're right, I didn't notice that.

I think that if companies made shells that inch higher, there would be a weird dead space between the very back of the cab and the start of the shell. Because the 2nd Gen roof curves so much, I think the shells look best if they line up with the lower point of the roof at the back.

You can kind of see what I'm talking about in Skidoo's picture above.
