there are a few paleo substitutes that taste pretty good - there is one chick kellie (hot) that can cook/bake the shit out of paleo. and it does help to avoid all the processed shit that is barely passable as food.

just had a physical. sodium levels are beautiful.

I actually eat really good food. fresh fish or steak most nights. lot of buffalo recently. usually topped with veggies and some sort of healthy sauce or salsa. i just really enjoy a 20 pack of McDonald's nuggets every now and then.

mmmmm, i've been leaning more to game meat/fish as well. NOMZ!! i've delved into the study (more light reading while i'm poopin') about fish oil. i've convinced my fat ass, lazy brother to at least start taking a multivitamin and fish oil since he keeps bailing on me and working out.

it's more affordable than you think. i rarely go out to eat. you can cook a damn good meal for about the same, if not cheaper than a combo meal at most fast food places.

i love all seafood, and am not picky about my cut of steak, so if i see it on sale, i buy it up and toss what i won't eat within about 3 days into the freezer. and while i love all of those awesome bbq and marinade sauces, like mike said, they taste good ebcause of the salt. for just a couple bucks, you can make enough mango salsa to last you a week of eating it every day.

used to always grill them, but no grill since i left florida, so they're pan cooked now. i'll broil one every once in a while when i'm feeling lazy, but i think the pan tastes better.

We have a ton of grills around the complex but they're all charcoal so it's a real pain in the ass to grill just one steak. I may have to pick your brain on some good recipes

get a george foreman grille and a good dry rub or marinade! my mom got an IR grill, which i would NOT recommend (she also had a gazelle freerunner, ab lounger, and many many other as seen on tv gadgets that are equally worthless)

if you get a cast iron pan, make sure to season it thoroughly before use.

we don't even have those. you can have your own grill, but it has to be 50 ft from any of the apartments to use, which essentially means out in the middle of the parking lot. just going to have to wait until i get to maryland.

most of my cooking is very simple. instead of using a lot of ingredients to give it a bolder flavor, i try to use fewer, but really pay attention to what goes well together.

the Mahi i had the other night, for example. pan fried in some lime juice. then topped it with some diced mango and cilantro. then tossed some mango and an apple in mj juicer to drizzle over top of it for some extra moisture. including the lime juice, that's only 5 ingredients, and if your mango is ripe, and you cook the fish properly, each of the ingerdients pops very well. and it only takes about 15 minutes start to finish to make, about the same time as stove-top mac-n-cheese
