2013 Tacoma moving with foot on brake!!!!!!

So I'm sitting in traffic today at a red light, and all of a sudden my truck starts slowly moving!!!! I had my foot on the brake, and I was still moving!!! I was starting to get close to the car in front of me,so I put my emergency brake on, and it STILL kept moving!!!! So I put it in park, and I STILL kept moving!!!! WTF??!! I lightly tapped the car in front of me,I don't think she even noticed because she didn't get out and say anything to me, but now I'm a little paranoid! I mean, what if I were going faster and that happened??!!! Has this ever happened to anyone else? What should I do? I know dealer will say that can't replicate it so they cant do anything. What do you guys think?

whoa- I would absolutely not drive it anywhere except a shop until you get it figured.

 

Did you put it in reverse to back away from the car you bumped?

 

A clutch will solve that problem

Put it in park when you stop! Also were you on a hill or did you not have your foot on the brake hard enough?

 

Sometimes it seems like your moving when it's really the other car. Now... pass that pipe!

 

Are you saying you had the brake pedal firmly pushed ,then pushed harder when it started to move and the truck still moved?

Yes.I had my foot on the brake, then I pushed the emergency brake, then I put it in park. I was already stopped, when this happened,so thankfully,I was barely moving.

This. It doesn't make sense that the truck would be moving in park with the brakes and e-brake applied.

 

Were you on ice and slowly sliding? It's happened to my truck before while in park with ebrake on and truck turned off. Slid a few inches before I luckily noticed and parked all the way in my garage

 

This has happened to me too. OP, are you positive the other person wasn't moving? Not trying to bust your balls, but hydraulic brakes are extremely reliable. After your incident, did your brakes work normally?
