My truck moves too with my foot on the brake, but only sideways and then there's usually a big cloud of white smoke behind me and this smell......like burning rubber.....

    I love that smell

I would think this her rolling back most likely happened. Since you're likely under warranty and all that, if it makes you feel better and if it costs little or nothing, have a Toyota Tech check it out at the dealership for reassurance.

With a deeper understanding of engine, transmissions, and brakes, one would see that it is quite difficult for the vehicle to move when you don't want it to

After reading this thread, I conclude either earthquake or harmonic convergence kept that Taco moving forward!

When I come to a stop and the AC kicks on for defrost I feel my truck move or surge a little if I'm not pushing the brake pedal hard enough... (2014) Maybe that is what you are feeling?

I would agree with she slow rolled back into YOU. Prob why she didnt get out, if you didnt.

It is a weird feeling. I've been in a parking space and BOTH cars start to back out around me. Felt like I was rolling forward. Crazy stuff.

I dont see all those things failing like that at once. Park brake, foot brake, tranny?

Same with my '11 and '14. I've come to expect it and apply slightly more pressure to the brakes while at a stop. I don't think my truck actually moved more than an inch or two and was never in danger of hitting the car in front of me. Not much of an issue after you get used to it.

OP, have you contacted the dealer about this? You should, as it's a fairly new vehicle. I'm serious about that.

... But the wise-ass in me say to post a video of their expressions as you tell them about your experience. J/K. ;)
