Fun game tonight in San Jose. Can't wait for the playoffs

 

From day one of the end of this season, the Canucks will look closer and closer to the 2007 Leafs or 2011 Flames if they keep prolonging their rebuild. Trade Kesler, trade the Sedins, trade Edler, trade Bieksa. If they do this, and get quality assets back they will come back even better. Lack is a huge head start and Horvat looks like a potential top line player. Sedins should bring in a ridiculous return from someone this summer too

 

Agreed, though from what I have seen I would not leave this process in the hands of Gillis. They need a much brighter mind.

Ultimately the Tortellini experiment failed. I am not surprised. What did surprise me is how strongly the Canucks came out of the gate. When the Rangers and Canucks swapped coaches it seemed pretty crystal which team was destined to improve and which was at it's last gasp.

Time for fresh troops on the Canucks was after the Boston series, 2 years ago.

I don't understand why Vancouver thinks they need to start a rebuild. They need to fire the coach, and the GM too. They have plenty of good players, I just don't think they need to blow up the team just yet.
