To swap my 885s with 886s on my nitros, do I need to get anything that will/might get torn up in the swap process?

So what I think the best thing you should do I give wheelers/toytec or whatever company you feel comfortable calling. They will help get you setup right. It seems to me all you are looking for is a pretty basic lift and this is something they will easily be able to help you with.

As for Wheel spacers it really depends on what wheels you have. When I had 285/75/16 I didn't use any wheel spacers and I was on the the TRD wheels. What you have to remember is when you add wheel spacers you widen the outside diameter of the space needed to turn the wheel left and right. What you are shooting for is 4.5" backspacing.

I rubbed a little in the rear when I really wheeled them and a little in the front (Just the back of the front fender). Probably only would have to cut a little bit off for what you are describing. Rubbing isn't the end of the world. Do the install, cut the obvious stuff and drive around. If you keep rubbing cut or bend wherever necessary.

You will need a Cab mount chop with 285s. It sounds scary, but it really isn't and you should be able to have it done for under $120. Pretty much any shop can handle it.

Feel free to PM me if you have anymore questions. I am no expert, but I have read hundreds of threads on here, had 285s, and now I am on 35s. so I will do my best to give you at the very least the right people to ask for help.

With the winch and the bumper I am down to about 1.25-1.5" of lift. I still have to add skids.
The stock tsb pack with single 1.5"aal is my main concern. With the shell and recovery gear it sits level. I add 180 pounds of dogs back there and it sags. When I put a load of camping gear back there it is ridiculous. So I am upgrading to dakars. I dont want the front to be soupy and low, and the rear stiff and high. Also changing tire size from 265/75R16 to 255/85R16s.
I should have done this in the first place, but money kept from dakars, and 8 months waiting for bumper kept me from 886s.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.

You'll def want 886s, and most likely the Dakars with both overloads.

How much lift is gained with the standard pack and the aal?

    Nope. Mine is steel.

I would suggest you contact those people then, because they know something I don't. It seems like you already know what to do. Post up pictures when you are done with the install.

He said both overloads , it comes with 2 , you can add an additional AAL , the d29xl , it's a regular leaf , not an overload

All my numbers are in my build thread for 886s before and after 1/2" spacers (steel bumper and skid), as well as the Dakars. Click the pic below.
