Base Model Mudflaps

I was driving to work the other day and was coming up on a base model Tacoma. As i got closer I noticed that the mudflaps are relatively smaller than the ones that come on a PreRunner and up Tacoma. Anyone else notice this?

So i was wondering if they would fit on a PreRunner and up Tacoma. The only difference i see of why they might not fit is that the base model Tacomas don't have fender flares (which I also think looks better).

I would think without the fender flares that they would not match up. But it's worth a shot. Track that guy down and see if you could borrow his truck for a few minutes.

 

i would rather do this than cut mine if i decide i want them

 

That's the intention of this thread. To give a better alternative to cutting, but that's only if it matches up.

 

My base model mud flap is about 9 inches wide and hangs down about 6 inches. I am not sure if they have been modified at all since I bought it used but I dont think so.

 

somebody on here could make it...

 

6shooter mentioned one time that he looked into it and that it WILL NOT work at all...

 

i did the "Garbage Can Muddflap Mod" simply take them off. I run 32" tires no problems. 45k since i took them off, but my tires dont stick out much. I also have some 3M clear sticker type thing that were already protecting behind the flaps when i bought it used.
