Second pic almost looks like a block drain

 

thats what i told him...but wasn't sure...looks odd...

 

A wider view pic with some peripheral in it might help. I would feel awfully dumb if it isn't even coming from the block, lol.

And the first looks like a pcv valve or a check valve in a vac line.

 

The first one looks like an airbox silencer.

 

The opening to the left (with the gasket) of the hex thingy is the 3RZ's oil filter/cooler mounting location.

 

It a block drain. Pretty sure of it. Drains coolant from the block when doing a complete drain/refill, or if'n you want to set that thing outside next winter

 

Can someone who replaced their speedo cable help me...

I went to my local toyota steelership and tried to buy a speedo cable because mine is making a ton of noise, he tried to look it up on the computer and it has nothin on a "cable" and says mine is all electrical with no cable in between

After we tried some more research he told me I have to replace the whole speedometer and tried to throw a $400 bill at me for replacement part not including labor

Anybody have experience with this that could share some wisdom?

 

1999 model does not have a cable. Probably just your speedo making racket. You can take it apart and carefully lube it, but too much will mess things up.

 

What exactly would I lube?

 

Don't you have a truck to attend to?

Installed the hood struts.... Much nicer

 

Nice! Look at all that room on top of your bumper! LED double light bar would be sick

 

Are those the Redlines? I like mine a lot, and gets the pesky prop out of the way when working.

Nah, some Light force Striker 170 HID's will be going in there some day. Just have other stuff to buy before that

Yup, love them so far too! Was a pain to set the prop because of the tubing on the bumper plus I'm short












Also got the new, longer B.A.M.F BPV bracket installed. It's nice to have rear brakes again haha the old one is for sale if anybody wants it....
