Bout a year ago, maybe more. He only lasted in the celica wagon for about a year. This is what happened to LoLux.....

Been sitting there the entire time, sold it to a friend who then sold it to his brother, who then let it decay to that. Stripped the head and left it to die. But this picture pop'd up on his feed not too long ago.

For those of you that never saw LoLux here she is before she was gone.

Yeah, Ry and I both followed LoLux on customtacos. But the new truck is super duper dope.

Installed the leaf spacer today no more taco lean yay!!!!
But..... Means less play in my notch and holding a right turn it taps the notch not hard but then again I don't want it too

I know Phil you like send me a notch piece but I just have no idea what measure meant to send hahah I know for a fact the passenger side notch is smaller than the driver side but both suck

When I had just angle 4" blocks the axle sat center in notch now with 3/4" offset pins and hole the axle is towards the rear of the notch haha

Alright to add to today's progress I went back and took apart the rear again so I still have the spacer however I flipped the helper spring I noticed that when the leafs are at full droop the helpers bend the other way like a sad face slightly and when the truck is on the ground the helper appears flat but doesn't touch the middle leaf. So I flipped them upside put it all back together and took off the orielly lift support things cuz my truck was riding real soft . On the ground the helper now makes full contact with the leaf springs and maintained the same height and is stiffer than having those stupid add ons that nonstop squeaked. I'm very pleased truck is not leaning anymore and maintained ride quality the only shitty part is not I have 1/2" less play in the passenger notch which is the smaller side so I do bottome on a hard left going fast or a big ass dip but normal driving is perfect so hopefully new notch and doing the UCA are next on the list.

Question, what is the lowest you can lower the rear without the use of blocks? I assume the lowest is just the 1.25" from 4x4 springs.

I know if you 4 link it you can go as low as you want and that may be an option I look into. Im kicking around the idea of using a ford 8.8 rear end from a mustang so I have better gear ratio options and I can actually get a truetac. I wont need that until I supercharge it but at least it would be ready down the road. Just kind of thinking out loud. Not sure how cost effective that would be after you take into consideration a custom drive-line and a lot of fab work.

You could de arch the leafs 2" and run shackles .5" without blocks
Can buy XII performance leafs 2.25"

Lean? I think i have that but not 100% sure. Mainly cause i have a helper bag on the opposite sides of axle die to shocks getting in the way (bag toward the cab sits perfecrly, bag toward the rear bumper ... tight fit when shes dropped). :( front is fine though, i use the finger measure method (fronts are about 2/3, rear - drivers is 2, pass is 3).

You have the base 5lug right? Surprise huh? You are local, sounds like you need to come see my ride in person to help give you some better idea's. IMHO the 9" will be too much for your truck, plus added weight. Be better off getting 3.73's and the hino LSD in your stock. Be a lot cheaper.
I just need the interior dimensions of the frame at center of notch, the length of the notch you want, how tall, and then the inside dimensions of frame at 8" left and right of center of notch.

O and speaking of my own truck, with the coilovers I got my drop at 4.5 up front and only .5 degrees of neg camber up front. I could have gone even but I didn want to. Wanted some performance. Toe is in as well. Caster is way out but I set it heavy on the right side so it will fight the crowning on the road.

Yeah I have a base model 5lug and am local. Would definitely take you up on seeing your truck in person. Would be nice to have someone who has been there drop some knowledge on me. :D

The ford 8.8 is a heavy SOB no argument there. From what I have heard the Toyota rearend is pretty damn strong and it weighs less. I just don't like that the gear selection is limited to obscene ratios for a small tire truck like ours. Not saying 4.56's wouldn't be fun for dounuts and burnouts but that's about where the fun ends, haha. I also wanted the truetrac which isn't available for my truck which I still don't understand. Toyota is confusing as hell when it comes to their rear diff's.

In the Whitney Houston build thread when you got the new rims and tires first installed (the gold ones) what were you sitting at height wise? Was that stock of was it a little lowered?

The truetrac should work, all our rear ends are the same as long as they are not E-Locker, on the Tacoma's. Pretty sure they make the truetrac for the 6lug. I'm a super happy camper with my stock Hino LSD. As for gearing, there was a gentleman on here that went 4.10's on X-Runner stock rims and tires. He was complaining that at 70 the revs were a bit high, sitting around 3k,
    maybe a little more.

As for meeting up, too bad you live in the middle of BFE, pretty sure they are doing a Monday meet tonight. The west side might be doing a north phoenix meet on Thursday.

As for when I put my tires on, I had already lowered it an inch front to rear.

Yeah I definitely live in BF freakin E! I work in Phoenix though so if I know about a meet a head of time I can probably cruise over after work depending on where they are held and what time they start.

I asked about Whitney because I was looking at this kit http://www.xiiperformance.com/?page_id=2539 Which appears to be 2" front and 2.25" rear. If your truck was 1" lower and looked pretty damn good already maybe the 2 & 2.25 would be perfect for me with a similar rim and tire size.

As for gearing I wouldn't want 4.10's either. I'd be happy with 3.73's.

Yeah if that is all you are hoping to go that is the route I would go. No need to Link if that's all the loweredz you want. 3.73's come stock in all the auto 6lug taco's btw. Just keep an eye out for some in the for sale section on here and in the Arizona for sale section.

Dayum I'd be perfectly happy with 4 up front and 5 in back. I can do it with the spindle spacers I have right now but it's look dumb till I get Brians 4 inch blocks. Feels like they will never come :(

My opinion from my experience go all the way with ur drop or look at everyone's trucks and see which height you like the best and do it right the first time. You end up spending so much money if you keep changing shit lol
