Sweet setup Brandon. Does the RTT and top of the yakima rack sit about at the same height? Do you have any profile angles of your set up?

Thank you! (sorry for the derail, back on topic)

I saw a picture someone had of a hose clamp used to tie down the RTT. What does the normal attachment look like? One of the bed racks we're looking at is 1.75" and will need a non-standard mount.

    LIKE THIS
there are two metal plates that you put the bolts through then slide into the rail attached to the bottom of the tent. then there is a single metal plate that you place on the bottom side of your bed/roof rack and tighten down with the nuts.
if you are using 1-3/4" tube you may need longer bolts and wider bottom plates.

My tent came with two different mounting plates for different sized load bars and racks.... They look just like the ones above the ones i used.

Perfect, thanks y'all. I think a hose clamp with some padding to avoid scratching the paint should work great for the 1.75" round tubing.

Which park? Boars Tusk is just north of Rock Springs on the way to Pinedale/Jackson. I have driven by there dozens of times but never made it out there. There are some dunes as well.

Okay, one more question - how far apart/wide are the rails used to mount to the rack? I'm looking at the Mt. Shasta, which is 56" wide, so I'm guessing the rails are probably 30-50" apart. There seems to be some amount of distance between the rails and the edge of the RTT, and then they are obviously spread apart enough to distribute weight and increase stability.

Not sure about the mt Shasta but on mine there were different places to mount the tracks depending on what way you want it to come off the vehicle.

the CVT bachelor/shasta are 32" apart and run parallel to the hinged side

you can mount the rails running perpendicular to the hinged side but they will stick out a few inches or you can cut them to length (wouldn't recommend that)

I got another addition to add to meh RTT...

Teton 2 person 0* queen sleeping bag... It's huge.. I'm gonna love it in the tent for the Huricane creek meet on the weekend of the 22nd of March..

I haven't gotten inside, letting the apartment get to 65* and going for it.
