Aftermarket Oil Filters

I've been getting the Toyota OEM filters that come free with my new purchase free oil changes. Should I switch to a higher performance filter? Is it worth the extra $$

 

Short answer. No. Toyota filter is perfectly fine, and better than some aftermarkets.

Yep. Also you used to be able to bid $40 and they'd accept but even at $47 it's a pretty awesome deal.

yup, $5.41 at the dealer, and that doesn't include the drain plug gasket....10 for $47 plus drain plug gaskets, and free shipping is a steal...also, they still accept offers, so give that a try, probably save a few more $$$ in the process....

and, they actually are the best filter hands down, no aftermarket filter comes close, read the link on the filter comparison, interesting stuff...

 

I just tried to offer $40 and $42 and both were immediately declined.

 

Toyota oem oil filters seem to rated about the best you can get.

 

Pretty sure $45 with free shipping will get the case of filters, that is about $1 less per filter than retail...
