    LOL!!

I ordered a color matched grill, as I don't really care for the chrome one, and tires and wheels are really my first mod, yeah not a big one but I like that it changes the look drastically, makes it your own...

I think it's Gingerbread, but the app is called Torque, it interacts with many different brands of bluetooth ODB II readers. I bought it years ago for $3 but apparently someone told me a week ago that it's $30 now?!

WoW. That's cool you got it for as little as you did and now it's 10xs what you got it for. Talk about good timing for something.

So I just looked up the Torque app. Torque lite is free and Torque Pro is 4.95. What does it do?

Don't waste your time with that app. There are better ones out there. I have been using OBD car doctor. The bummer about that one is that you can only view one system at a time. I usually choose ECT(engine coolant temp) or gas mileage. Torque can have several readouts but does not work if you have pandora on your phone, which is so dumb.

So if you have Pandora installed you can't use it?

Nope. for some reason it will just not connect. It is a known issue if you look in the comments. I only use an obd reader because my truck has a small overheating problem so I like to see what exact temp it is running at. The obd doctor does that perfectly.

Good to know, I guess I'm going to need to look into all this stuff, I have seen a few things that plug in, but I have never seen the bluetooth stuff and apps.

I am able to connect to the reader and my bluetooth stereo at the same time, which I think is pretty cool. I am looking into one of those smart watches so I can control my phone remotely. One more toy :D

Simple solution: don't use Pandora. Why would anyone want commercials anyway? I stream MP3's to my Kenwood nav via Bluetooth & I can connect to my OBDII port & monitor all of the sensors I want to for free. Plus no commercials & I can control what I listen to.

I don't get commercials, I paid once for the pandora one... haven't paid in over two years, and still no commercials but the limited skipping is back. I don't know if i'm just special or that's the way they do it now.

odds are though, if it conflicts with one app that requires a connection, that there will be others.

Personally if I was going to use the ODBII app and port... I'd use an old phone that isn't "Activated" and just use it as a display/camera/extra music storage.

Does anyone know any of the guys from RCI Metalworks personally? I bought some sliders from them during their GB and Josh called me Monday to tell me they were ready, but I haven't been able to get in touch with them to find a time to pick them up. I work all day M-F, so I'd love to grab them today so I can go ahead and paint (maybe install?) them this weekend. If anyone could let him know I'm trying to get in touch or are willing to PM me his number, I'd really appreciate it.

I would do the same but I have a dash mount for my current phone.

I like to listen to all sorts of music I don't have though, so it works well for that.
