I went to the 1 1/8" diesel spout , no dribble now , I think the 3/4" spout was limiting the flow too much and it would back up through the breather

Get somebody in Montreal to order you a new can

    Prices are in CDN $

Check out the Jerry Cans from:

    Roverparts.com

A friend and I have 4 between the two of us, great quality - and a solid metal fuel "water" can. IIRC they were around $45/each.

Never quite understood the logic on the Rotopax. They're about 5x as expensive for 1/2 the overall capacity..

So the US dollar is worth less than the CDN right?

That long one is no bueno, it'd look ugly hanging off the bumper... the short 3 gal ones are looking much better

No other way around , $1 USD is worth $1.09 CDN right now

X2 I think by the time you buy 5 Rotopax 2 gallon cans you're way over what you would spend on 2 Scepters

You right.. Im gonna have to hunt down two pics showcasing the cans.. I'm leaning toward the jerry cans.. It won't be difficult at all... The Rotopax, i've yet to see in person..

Hmm.. can i get someone to buy them and then ship them to me?

You're right, and with the leak problem solved, as you've done, the direction i should go is simple... I will be going with scepter cans.

Hopefully he hasn't already added the rotopax mounts yet

Can't ship them across the border , that's why I said get a TW member in the Montreal area to get you one or two and pick them up when you come up

That'll work well then. I don't know any members in Montreal though.. Not saying i don't trust them but i'd be nice to actually have a point of contact in the city already

National 4WD Centre has a Scepter MFC distributor in Montreal , maybe worth an email to see if you can just pick em up while you are there

I'll shoot them an email on Monday and see what happens.

I've considered it but I'm just keep everything open before committing to anything yet.

Thanks for all the help fellas.

Still Scepter made, CSA certified (I'm assuming ASA as well) come with a funnel so you don't have to buy a horse cock. And they only run $20.

The only issue I've ever had with them: One of mine keep bouncing out of it's home and landing on it's side. From that position it's leaked once. (temperature change made the 'safety' cap on the back pop off)
