I have a prerunner, so I'm not really looking at lifting the rear, at least not for a while. I'm hoping that putting some 5100's on the front to get the front end up a little will make it ride and look a little better, and then if I ever decide to do it, maybe aal in the rear and go up the max distance with withe 5100's. but not sure yet. Don't even have hills here. I figure the most I have to handle is a muddy road and maybe a fallen tree or deep rut.

I would think the 5100's would do what you want,I'm debating those myself,or the OME kit. Not sure if I want to do the 3" or just stay with the billies at 2.5.

if you already have the billies just throw coils upfront instead of the stocks

Wow,I think I'm going to invest in one now,me like.

I don't have them yet, that's why I'm debating the OME kit for 3" or billies maybe paired with coils and progressive aal in the rear for 2.25-2.5". Don't really want to possibly chop the cab mount for 285's so I think I'm going 265's instead.

i wish they made a higher end shock adjustable like the 5100's. Eventually I want a 4x4 that i'm going to do up really nice when I can afford to take time to go places to actually use it. But the most "off-roading" i ever do is dirt/mud roads to go camping/hunting. I have never needed a 4x4 to get around in the woods before, but looking back, I wish I had a winch just in case. Usually other people were around, but sometimes I was alone and had to get through some pretty nasty stuff.

I wasn't paying attention, he was talking to swfl. I thought he was telling me to put a coil on my shocks instead of changing to the 5100's. I know zilch about lifts obviously.

I told you I know nothing about that stuff.

I was talking about bilstein though. at least at a glance online, only their 5100's are labeled as height adjustable. Their other shocks look more complicated too. Nothing stood out to me as something that was an easy plug and play like the 5100, but in a better quality shock. but then again, I know nothing about this stuff

Yeah you can pair the eaibachs (spelling?) or OME lift springs with the 5100's which is probably what I'll wind up doing.

This^ but those are a little more $$$.

On a side note I love watching Mirco Crocop fighting.

higher end coilovers like my fox's have the bottom threaded coil seats

you can take a special wrench and move the coil seat up and down

note how the top part is theaded

To just "level" your truck the billies set at 1.75 should do it,or maybe just the OME 884 coils with new shocks so your not pre loading the stock coils.
