Let's see 'em if you got them. NOTE: This is NOT the roof top tents. These are the tents that sit on the bed floor and have a mattress the shape of the floor.
    Opinions appreciated of course.

I'm looking at that Sportz 57 series one. And i see the Kodiak canvas version too but there isn't a floor so that's a no go.

I'm thinking of making a platform for the bed of mine to be able to put my Koppen Hamr tent in it.

I have a Sportz III. I really like it, easy to set up and small to pack. I just built an off-road trailer with a RTT, I will have to see if I use the bed tent anymore.

I have both, RTT and bed. and they both work great. the bed tent is light weight, easy on easy off. I could load my motorcycle and all my camping gear in the bed of the truck and go camping. The down side of the bed tent was, you had to unload everything to set it up. With the RTT I can not load my motorcycle in the bed of my truck, and it weighs 150lbs. For me, it is just to heavy to take on and off all the time and is big to store.
I ended up building a trailer, that will hold my motorcycle, 2 kayaks and all my camping gear with the RTT on top. I can set up the RTT without having to unload a thing, I can also unhook the trailer and leave it in the camp site and go for a drive. For me it is the best of both worlds.
Here is what I came up with.

Is that a TW200 I see. I use to own one of them a while back. I miss it sometimes, mostly that fat rear tire.

Mine is a 6' bed, the tents use the tailgate making it 8' long. I am thinking about selling my bed tent, not sure I will use it much now that I have a RTT.

Bummer. i have the 5' bed and was wondering if it would have fit. The only bed tent that i can find for a short bed is a floorless rightline gear tent. im not sure about the brand or the fact of not having a floor just in case the rain gets sideways.
