If you look closely at the sidewall of the tire you just posted, it's actually the Baja KR2 desert tires rather than the KO2 AT's. Looks like BFG is going for a similar sidewall on several tires.

I must say these do look a lot better than the old. But I ran them on a jeep I had years ago and wasn't too pleased with them. But that's just my opinion. A lot of guys I know love them and they suit their purpose. So it's totally dependent on the owner. To each his own.

Just got back from some wheeling. I am done with KOs, I used to think they were a good AT tire but theyre not, they are low end when it comes to performance. They look nice but dont cut it offroad. Next I will get either Cooper ST Maxx or KM2. Maybe would go KO again if they release a new version that gets good reviews.

just got a quote for BFG A/T KO LT265-70/R17-C load rating. $191.99 @big brand tires.

Not bad... the last set lasted 55k. Mostly street, some snow, some dirt roads. No crawling or real wheeling.

I like 'em, but may try something else depending on price.

a good tire makes a big difference... but so does knowing how to drive...what kind of "wheeling" are you doing? mud bogging?

There are a lot better AT's than the BFG's. The BFG's are near the bottom of all reviews.

I agree...I've just had bad experiences with the Nittos and Hankooks. Neither tire got me 30k miles...that's with rotating and balancing them every 5000 miles. The bfgs last longer than most ATs from research I've read which is a good/bad thing. The composite doesn't allow for for optimum traction which is where the longevity of the tire itself comes into play I would assume. The BFGs are great in sand (which for me is best) but thats about it...they don't clear well and when they're in mud/snow, they become slicks!

The traction between the Nittos and the BFGs is night and day...those Nittos grabbed on to everything and cleared mud/rock much better! With me only having a rear locker, the tire makes all the difference in where I go. I wouldn't mind giving the Terra Grapplers another shot TBH.

Yeah, I keep forgetting about the issues you had with the Nittos.

From everything I've read, the tire has come a long way! I got a set when they first came out and I got them in a "C" rating...which is maybe where the issue was?

That's crazy with the Hankooks I'm well over 40k and they still look new, I'm at 7-9/32" on all 4 left. I also rotate every 5k. They seem to perform in the snow/ice just as well as they did brand new. My biggest issue with the BFG's is how quickly their performance drops off with mileage as they get harder and harder to try and hit higher miles.

KO2's have a release date around October/November 2014 and Michelin made some big changes from the outdated KO design to catch back up to the other manufacturers. Going on mine as soon as we roll them out.
