Omg I just spent 3 hours under my truck spraying mud off. Things to get = new under armor the flimsy skid plates hold so much mud.

badass!!!! haha and yeah im in the process of taking a break from washing my truck. Im about 2 1/2 hrs in and just got the mud sprayed off. Now i gotta wash it and clean the interior

 

So far only had time to listen to the first song but so far I like them

 

All I've gotten done so far is spraying the clumps off... :/

 

I cheated .... I put mine up on my lift at work, pulled off my skids, and pulled out about 50 pounds of clumppy mud before I washed it

I think I've sort of settled on a plan and would appreciate some advice I suppose.

I am going to move up to 32x11.5x15 tires. Looking at some other 5 lugs builds, there is not to much of a fit issue with 32s. Just reports of a simple inner fender liner trimming is all. A 33 seems to present a much bigger task of getting them to fit.

I'm still a little torn between 4.10 and 4.56 gears. I'm leaning towards 4.56. It's a tad low for 32s, but with my truck being 2WD/4 Banger, I'm thinking the little extra power certainly can't hurt. 4.56s also just make it another 1 full turn of the driveshaft over the 3.58 my truck comes with.

I will add a No-Slip locker in there also.

Now, I'm doing this on a budget, pieces/parts at a time until their all together and do a 1 time install of everything.

2 rims is all I have currently, but I got $$ burning a hole in my pocket.

So what should I do....

Discount tire is having a $100 off $400+ orders where I could get 2 KM2s for 344. It would strap me out until the week after next. Or do I wait a week or 2 and grab the locker and worry about tires later. I'm not super pressed on gears yet. Going to be the least expensive part of all this I think.

Should probably go with tires for now since that's a pretty dern good deal, even if I can only snag 2.

 

Well I've got my LCA BAMF skids, front skid, and BAMF light bar almost done being painted. Two more coats should do it. I just used Plasti-dip. I figure I'm going to beat them to shit anyway.

Next is a low profile bed rack and eventually an RTT.

I guess after that probably 4.56's.

Shit I've run out of cheap mods.

 

Those low profile bed racks are pretty cool. Seen the SOS concepts group buy thread as well I take it? Good pricing if you get in on them, was pretty close to the 20% mark.

(I was thinking of asking Levi if he'd be willing to make me something similar)

 

Yeah I really want a low profile and the only other guy that I saw doesn't make his anymore. So when I saw Eddy is doing a set I jumped on it. I want to throw an RTT on it but I don't want the RTT to go over the cab line for looks and for functionality.

Levi wouldn't make me one. Douche bag!

Chris buy those tires first. Always buy somethin on sale even if it ain't next on your list. Also the gears will be WAY to high without bigger tires on first

 

I can make ya one. Just come to my house one weekend. We can bend it out of some 1" tubing or conduit and weld on some feet. I just gave New life two of my old ones. Never mind your all the way over there go see Gid.
