Can you take some detailed pictures of the projector in the reflector bowl (without the shroud if you haven't mounted it) and also some detailed pictures of the back side of the reflector bowl before mounting it into the headlight housing?

You're starting to convince me to retrofit these monsters into my truck...

My next retrofit will be all out, no etched lens though. Costs too much for providing no gain

I have the same as you, just lacking in the bulbs. That might change soon though. I really liked the output on my last customers lights

And I completely forgot he's only running 35w Densos and noticed no lack in brightness compared to mine (not that I drove with them though)


At the same time I might just stick with the FXR. I want OE ballasts, but I want them to be brighter like my 55w. I want better bulbs and halos this time, but I don't want to have halo issues like a lot of people...

 

I've seen a lot of 1/3s of halos going out and such. Mine would be internal so if they ever did go out I could just disconnect them but that's why I kept my current retrofit so basic because the more things you put into them the more likely they are to fail

That may help to explain a lot of it.

As for the mount, I'm confident there's no wobble. I've done about 25 LS460R retrofits and they're all doing very well!

 

Mine are 55w DSPs

Very odd indeed. We'll get to the bottom of it.

No installed pics BUT upon diagnosing, I had my brother hold up the passenger side FX-R retrofit headlight(which explains the crooked beam) next to the mocked up LS460 on the passenger side and its NO comparison lol.




This was with a good amount of ambient light coming into the garage as well. Nutty how strong the low beam is on the LS460R's combined with the CBI bulbs.

 

and people wonder why I preach them.

Also, that looks like a Mini D2S 2.0 and not an FX-R--FX-Rs never had sloped shields.
