I have been deciding on a new truck for several years. I feel like I read 100's of posts on different trucks on many different forums.

I even read several posts on Tacoma vs (name your full size truck here).

After countless hours of thought and online research. I began talking to several local dealerships and test driving trucks.

It was important for me to purchase a truck that would perform well as a daily driver, a good off road vehicle and .......well.......a truck.

The Tacoma simply met all my needs.

After selling my old trusty Jeep Cherokee, I purchased a 2014 Tacoma Baja edition. I am very happy with this truck, its look and drive-ability.

Would like to say thanks to the TW community for providing guidance as I frequented this site as a nonmember soaking up all the great information.

Reading these threads, you get a real feel for how much people love their Tacoma.

One last thing. Regarding the pic, no I was not visiting the DressBarn, lol. I was actually at SportClips.

It comes standard with the TRD OR package and the TX Baja package (see below).

TRD TX BAJA Series: TRD Bilstein High Performance Off-Road Shocks (66mm Front Shocks with Eibach Red Coil Springs and 50mm Rear Shocks with Remote Reservoir), 16inch TRD Bead-Lock Style Wheels with LT265/70R166 BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO Tires, TRD Cat-Back Exhaust, Vehicle Side Graphics, TRD Exterior badges

They say it has about a 2inch factory lift over the regular TRD OR tacoma, but everyone likes to throw their own number out there, although I doubt many have actually measured the difference. If someone wants to measure their TRD OR, I will measure my Baja for comparison.

I am not worried. I have my reasons for buying the Baja, despite what anyone else thinks I should have done with MY money :)

Your right man and the Baja suspension is a good balance between off road and on road capability. Personally I wish I had gotten one but they didn't have it in magnetic gray metallic so I think I will just go mid travel on my truck and call it good.

That was the color I originally wanted as well. But I have to admit, the black continues to grow on me.
