Sliders first.

 

Notice, all the 4wd guys saying sliders and the 2wd guys saying bumper. This might be because as a 2wd guy who pushes the crap out of his truck i have yet to find a need for sliders except the one tree that jumped out the woods and hit my bedside. I high centered pretty hard in palm bay which was all ob the frame. I have yet to touch my rocker panels on anything a 2wd can do. And high dollar or not, my suspension flexes pretty darn well, not sure how that will make that big of a difference when driving a 2wd. Alfuh, you saw what all i put my truck through, take every ones opinion as you will, but you are 2wd, to me, sliders are not a necessity.

 

Jason is right. My sliders mostly get hit on tight off camber trails that even in 4Lo I have problems getting my truck to move through them. A 2wd wouldn't be in that type of trail ever unless you winch your way through. Yes you might get use out of sliders but not really a necessity. Now if you had already converted to 4wd, different story altogether.

That's pretty much my point. Being 2wd he wont get into the same situations as a 4wd that would justify the sliders over a bumper. I have considered getting sliders so many times. But after this last trip to citrus, i will not spend the money for them (unless i have money just falling out of my pockets). I knew i would push it hard, and i think most that saw me would agree i went hard with a 2wd, but even with all that i still never needed sliders.

I can't answer your question, but if it helps, there is a thread in the Florida section about hardrock meets. I am almost certain the address is listed there. Then you could figure out how far apart they are.

A 2wd drive needs a bumper w/ winch before sliders IMO but everyone has valid points get whatever great deal you find first.

You pushed it hard out at citrus. It all depends on where you wheel at and whats around you. I pushed it hard out there and didnt need sliders, but I do need a HC rear now.

 

Or other peoples trucks...

 

I wont likely go HC, but a rear bumper is on my short list right now. That and glass all around. That's my current dream idea.

 

Hey peter those videos are actually from hardrock and I've pretty much decided not to wheel my truck until I get some better suspension under it
