I'm thinking about buying a lot of foreign goods. I hear that buying stock in Brazil is good right now.

Seriously, I doubt I'll ever see that money...my wife will probably put it towards our next vacation.

My Brazil fund is up 14% in the last 3 months. I should have put more into that instead of Vanguard's mid cap...

    edit:

Getting back on track. I'm prespending my stimulus check this afternoon on a brand new American made mooring for my classic American made boat.

The government sure knows how to demotivate and punish people for working hard and trying to succeed. I'm not getting one.

I'm single, no kids, no mortgage (I rent), and I apparently made too much last year. Over a certain amount you no longer qualify. The kicker is that that figure isn't very high, especially for living in NJ where everything costs a fortune.

The true kicker is: Next year 2008 tax returns, you will have to pay taxes on the stimilus refund you receive this year... Figure 28% to be safe... So, if your elgible for the $600 rebate, prepare to pay back $148.00 next year as it is considered taxable income.. On another note on how to spend it: consider joining us at the largest known Tacoma meet in Oct.. www.Tacoberfest.com

Think I am going to put half of my $600 toward the truck payment. The other half will probably be spent on something useless for myself or the truck.
