No.. I blew my headgasket and am having to take my head to the machine shop to get new valves etc. It'll be next weekend at the earliest. I still would like for there to be a good group coming. Tried to plan ahead by saying we would meet on the 29th but that can easily be pushed on into April if needed. We've started going a lot more lately.

Yea, certified in stick and mig welding. I gotta find my paperwork though! I also need to see about getting all that renewed. I gotta make a serious job decision right now. Move up to management position in a small landscaping company with no benefits, don't really need any, Kerri works at BCBS. I do want 401k though and able to put money aside. The other option is to get my CDL's and move to a big company and get benefits, 401k and all that. I have paid time off right now. I would need my CDL's for the post office, Pepsi, to drive around a truck. Not really interested in my thing else unless it's a welding job

So... you wouldn't get the tax benefit of lowering your tax liability for your current income, but...

You could do a Roth IRA and contribute the same amount as you were putting in a 401k. The advantage is that you aren't taxed on dispersions when you retire, which, the way taxes are moving, and the fact that the money will grow interest over time, is an advantage.

The downside is the limit is lower (I think like $7000/yr where a 401k is $17,500 or something).

If you could negotiate 3% more to effectively give you the "match" that most places give (1/2 up to 6%), and dump that into a Roth IRA, you could end up in decent shape.

We won't be able to meet at choccolocco the weekend of the 29th.. They're having a big race so it'll really packed and wouldn't be fun trying to navigate around people while staying together.. We go every weekend if anyone wants to come out, but I would really like to have a meet with several trucks. So what's a date in April that would work for most everyone?

Sounds good.. We went yesterday and done a whole lot of scouting for trails and found several intermediate trails that are very technical for a stockish vehicle to go down. A should be a lot of fun with several of us.

Mac424205: Your wife gonna let you come one Saturday in April? Lol

not if it happened as they were walking up to him in the parking lot.... then he would just be the weirdo that killed over at a offroad meet.
