This. Crossing my fingers for good painting weather this weekend. I'll probably mount my CB antenna and Hi-lift too.

I think he's just looking for something he won't bash wheeling. I should have taken bets on how long his "show-truck" would be modded into a trail rig.

Hey Guys, it's been awhile since posting....work has been nuts!

Need some advice about suspension, lift kits, etc.. I know this is not the suspension forum, but some of my questions are related to NJ installation.
(I am a NOVICE when it comes to suspension, so bear with me if I don't understand much!)

I am looking to do a small lift, about 1.5" is what I was told will keep the stock geometry. I don't care so much about leveling so that's not an issue. I have read the best thing to do is get coilover's for the front and new leaf springs for the rear. I have read that will keep it as close to a stock ride as possible. My biggest fear is the vibration others have complained about. I am not looking to spend a fortune but don't want to buy crap either. I am just looking to get a little extra height and throw on a slightly bigger tire. This is an every day driver for me, so lots of pavement, I occasionally take it off-roading. (Although with these potholes it feels like I am off-roading! :) ) Any suggestions on products, brands, part numbers, etc..?

I am also looking for local help to install? If anyone knows someone who is willing to share their tools and knowledge, I will do the work and provide beer and food! If not, a local shop that can install at a fair price and won't screw it up?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I'd say you should probably get bilstien 5100s and use the stock coils with the 5100s set for 1.5". The rear could get new 5100 shocks and an add a leaf, or just leave it as the stock leaf pack if you aren't looking for more lift.

Personally, 1.5" is not much lift and will basically just level the front with the rear, but if that's all you want this is a good option. Then if you decide you really want more lift, you can get the front 5100s readjusted to more lift by removing the coil and moving the clip, then reassembling them.

Hmmm.... I'd like to bump up the front and back. Would you suggest a 2" lift in front and 1.5" in the back?

I'd like to get 265 tires and I think I will need a bump all around to fit.
