whoever set the price on those ARB plate bumpers for like $350 awhile back honored that one...unless that was the intended price

 

I can see both sides. Sucks you couldnt get the uca's, but it had to have been a mistake. Heres some info on the subject:

your not seeing the big picture. They said the item was out of stock when it wasn't. Tell the truth. If I lie in my business I pay the consequences. Besides if it happened to you you would be pissed off also

The big picture is that this was a 3rd party marketplace reseller, and they uploaded pricing wrong. When you list hundreds or thousands of skus on Amazon, you do it in spreadsheets and mistakes can be made. If it was a 10 or 20% difference, I could see them maybe honoring it. But a 90% discrepancy? Don't be that noob.

I had a guy take my company to court over a pricing error very similar to this on my website years back, but the difference was even less. Needless to say, the judge threw it out and I didn't even need an attorney to defend it. He wasted his money on the retainer fee and the filing fees, and it just wasted an hour of my time at the courthouse. The judge looked at it and said it wasn't false advertising, and because of the clause in my "about us" page stated that we have the right to cancel orders due to pricing discrepancies. It's totally legal to make that mistake, and it's immoral to try and be a chump who is looking for a way to steal. Yes, steal.

 

Big picture? The big picture is someone made a mistake and you're trying to take advantage of them in my eyes. I would not be pissed at all because I know it was a mistake. If it wasn't a mistake and it worked out then great but we all know this was a mistake.

No sense in forum arguing. Everyone is always right. Everyone has their opinion. Mine stands were it is. If someone doesn't agree guess what I frankly don't care. regardless I will complain based on the lie. Just be up front and tell me it's wrong.

 

Apples and oranges. Not the same thing. That vendor may have had a couple ARB bumpers taking up space they didn't want. You can't compare the 2 sales.

 

Your complaint will affect his reseller metrics that he has to uphold with Amazon to keep good standings as a reseller. That's fair of you to complain that way. Amazon holds their resellers to very strict metrics, and if they have even minimal complaints, they penalize that reseller for a couple weeks with crappy shipping availability. So instead of seeing their stuff available to ship within 24 hours, it says 1-2 days. If they keep getting LEGITIMATE complaints, it goes to 3-5 day availability, etc. As a reseller, you want the world to see your products available within 24 hours otherwise you lose about 30% conversion in just the first tier.

File your complaint and let Amazon slap them on the wrist for creating a bad customer experience. It wasn't Amazon's fault but it is their obligation to make sure they use quality resellers.

 

Sale is a sale. Still a part listed at a certain price that they honored

Not sure which ones fit which Gens tho...
