I never liked the taste of the Hydro Whey for whatever reason... Using Pro Complex Gainer right now, but I will probably go to something a little lighter here before too long as cutting season rolls around.

I'm having extreme pain in my hips when squatting. Anyone encounter this? I've read that I need to stretch a lot more. This dang heavy weight is killing me! haha

Hey Fellas, I'm doing stronglifts 5x5 and im at 255lbs for squats, 215 bench, 265 Deadlifts, 135 over head shoulder press.

    I'm 5'9-10" 190 lbs. I know i should be pushing a lot more.

Im wondering if I should be using a Weight belt with this much weight. What are your thoughts on weight belts?

I had a lower back injury squatting a few years ago, so I don't even risk it anymore. Besides, when you're lifting more than twice your bodyweight, it helps :D jkjk

For me, it just gives me better form when lifting the heavy weight. Keeps my back in the perfect arch.

I only use one if I am lifting around 80% of my max. Anytime your form gets sloppy and you need help with keeping everything tight I would put one on.

55 degrees and kinda sunny. I guess the shorts and t-shirt weather got to me :notsure:. First time wearing shorts outside in a long time. I walked around campus looking for shiny windows to check out the legs

Building muscle helps lift more weight. Using a belt helps you maintain proper form. Things like wrist straps and shit like that can hinder you in the long run, preventing you from developing muscle that you would build from doing the workout by yourself. Regardless of how it feels, your numbers aren't that big. I'm not trying to insult you, because my numbers are in the same area. However you don't need a belt yet.

Quick question guys.. So I thought I'd test out my heart rate monitor today (it also counts calories) so I wore it most of the day just to see what it was like.

I did all my workouts, walking to classes, work, etc and its saying I burned like 2500 calories.. I take it, to get an accurate count, I should only wear it during workouts?
