    It was definitely a lot of work. Not sure it's something I would want to tackle by myself. Splitting the work up between the 3 of us wasn't bad though.

    ben, i think you might actually be right about something for once. I thought about it, and i think im over the try things open diff now. when i go wheeling, fuck it im locking it for every obstacle and ill just crawl over it.

    im going to still try to take the hardest line, but ill stop the 2wd nonsense haha

    oh ya, been meaning to mention this.

    the "was it worth it" comment really will get a biased answer. Was it worth it for me? Fuck ya it was. I got to go hang out with brady and konsta all weekend and work on my truck and drink beer and shoot guns! That in itself was awesome. A side effect of that now is that i can now full stuff 35s. and let me say, ill never go back to 33s. 35s look 10x better, they ride better too. To be fair though I will go back to 33s, but thats just because i still have them. I love the new tires, and after i whore them around i want to save the wear and tear till it counts. So after a couple weeks the 33s go back on till the next wheeling trip.

    Now i will admit i took a power loss, and only with this not ideal gearing a manual would be better for highway. Basically lost 7 miles off my hwy cruising speed (was about 77ish before), because there is now a weird gap with the auto, where it cruises at 65mph at like 2250-2500 rpms, but to hold say 70 the rpms jump and shift around a lot. Ill have to experiment with turning off OD to see if that helps. Around town, i usually accelerate slow enough and drive relaxed enough i hardly notice it. on ramps though...

    you did a beautiful job welding in the drivers side. that one was a bitch. and the diff/u joint is working great :D

    you also were good at drinking beer. but then again we did well at that.

    yea thats where different gears would help you out. 4.56s are just too tall now for 35s.

    but seeing as how you'll be DDin the 33s..not a huge rush to change em.

    But i do think they look better no doubt. My truck looks way better then it did with 33s. my 33s looked small..now 35s look normalish..kinda how 33s looked before i flopped..not sure if they ride better. Don't see how size would effect that.

    But ill never go back either :D haha...poor wallet..

    bwahaha i know what gear hunting is. usually when i think of hunting it bounces between gears. this is almost like it doesent change gears unless i mash the gas and give it everything.

    Yeah, that does sound a bit odd.

    Gear hunting is when it downshifts under slight load, then up shifts but can't hold the speed so it downshifts again. A horrible loop. Hate it.

    ya I gotta have a project. i would go crazy if I didnt




    i know this is a case of pics of it didnt happen, but i did the whole passenger side welding deal (with the exception of about 4" konsta did before i came in. welds arent as pretty as his haha. but again, i think he can vouch that after i figured out my groove for the thin metal and the gaps between surfaces it turned out pretty darn good. The problem was the go pro died for that side and i was done fucking around with it and just started to get pressed for time. So i turned it off and went to down. Was like a long surgery lol. Then brady and konsta were helping rocky prep his axle and i didnt have him snap some pics before i started spraying it so it could dry. Oh well

    Konsta did the other side because it was more difficult and we were trying to figure out how to start it, and I was busy taking the axle apart and getting the diff out.

    SO, i can weld...blow me :D
