Bought some tail lights from a '98 on ebay and installed them today. Needed to do a little wiring fix but they look and work great. I always loved these older lights.

    Look at build!
Just realized you had the antenna on! Glad it ended up working since we didn't have it at the time!

    Don't. lol
Mine has been great so far! I left my headliner out for the past couple months to keep an eye on all the bolts but not a single issue, only thing that leaks in my roof is the sunroof drain lines

one last question brotha. I really appreciate the help too

So this morning I was able to take the top nut off since the truck has all the pressure on the shocks and there is so much play......Can I install the bushings without undoing everything? Im assuming no, since it looks like 2 washers and a bushing go under the top plate right? Just wanna make sure i got this right.

Cant believe I drove the truck like that last night

I bought the kit, the high pressure bolts and a flywheel. I think I will have the shop just replace the flywheel for piece of mind since I'm over 180k.

I have done it a couple of times. It CAN be a PITA, but you should be able to do it. You will need a few things, extra long extensions, universal joint for your ratchet, and a buddy or two. Those things are not required but will make life a whole lot easier. If you want, a transmission jack, but not required (except the buddy part, you need more hands than you have). I have used a regular jack, some ratchet straps and buddies to get it in and out. HB has them for about $150 or maybe you can rent one. Not sure, ask around.

Just google it, there are a bunch of videos on how to replace a clutch on a toyota. There might be a link in the DIY thread.

    Good luck.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

I would hate to do it without a lift or a tranny jack.

But its doable with at least 2 people. But getting the top bell housing bolts laying on your back would suuuucckkk.

For the top bolts on the bell housing I got a long extension and was able to get them from the hole in the floor of the truck. Its not a one person job thats for sure.
On another note. I bought some moog ball joints for my truck. Im working on it right now. The lower ball joints came with that metal piece that connects to the steering. My quedtion is, the metal looks bare, just wondering if I should throw a coat of black paint on it so it doesnt rust?
