Not having it has literally saved my life a few times.

 

Wouldn't doubt it one bit. Just get so damned used to new technology thinking it's all good for us when it actually may not be. Go figure.

Ok so I need to get the truck smogged. I know for my intake I need to get carb numbers or just put the stock one back on. Does anyone know if the flow master will pass? Hiatt did you ever get your truck smogged with the exhaust on it?

 

Pretty sure if you only changed stuff after the cats it doesn't affect getting it smogged.

 

Yea my first switch shit on me. Too small. That's why I warned ppl on my build and got a bigger one. Are you having problems with your switch? I thought before I remember reading sometimes it goes on and sometimes it doesn't.

Got it smogged with stock intake and the exhaust I gave you. It passes.

 

i get asked all the time what i think of those and say don't bother...look stupid lol...and yet they still get them. Some dude on the east coast paid a shop to install them...smh paid like $100 without the lights when parts alone for someone to install them is like $15 with an add a fuse

hahah, I'm counting the SECONDS! It's gonna be a long two weeks but it'll be worth it. So did you stick with Stratosphere?

 

I think so. But might call hard rock to see what they can do mostly likely nothing because they are stingy f#%@%$@s

 

Why didn't you add a link on that thread to your build? 17 pages and you were the first to ask simple questions I needed answers to. lol When we were talking on there I had connectivity issues with the t-tap, but I spun it a few more times to dig it in and it finally stays connected to the wire. Now I have to see your build....

Yea. I thought I told you. Don't spin it. Just cut a section out and you won't have any problems. I was thinking of doing my own way to do it for more beginners to make it even easier.

Nice build page. That's what I want mine to look like with the helpful links, but I haven't touched it for a while.

Yeah, the original thread was a good start, but really for people who have already worked wiring. As a layman, it left me with a lot of questions. It didn't name the parts, only showed photos, and then it missed photos showing what it should look like. It also didn't mention how to attach the wire to the switch, yet suddenly it appeared soldered with heat shrink. Took me longer than it should've to figure things out. In short, make your beginner's threeeeaaaaad!!!

 

Time for sliders and high lift. The bottle jack barely got my truck up to change the tire.

 

Thanks. Yea I had lots of questions too. I'm no expert either on wiring. Main thing was just a ground and one wire to the switch. That's it. It's simple if you think about it now but no one really explains that stuff for us beginners.
