I got one from www.antennax.com that works well. I admit I don't listen to the radio much, but when I do it works like normal. My factory one got all banged up by branches and I had to get a different one. This one is short and flexible (how I like em').

Cool, I'll look into them. Thanks!

Edit: Forgot to ask. Does anyone have any experience they could share with me for drilling a lock? I have a master lock hitch pin and when I went to unlock it last night to take it off, the key sheared off inside the lock. Not entirely sure what to do besides drill it out or cut the 3/4" steel hitch pin. haha

Thanks for all the suggestions on bumpers. I ended up going with the ARB for a few reasons, but the main reason was price. $967 with free shipping. I will have it next week hopefully and can put the accident behind me.

I saw my Dad get a broken key out of a lock with a rare earth magnet and pliers once. Don't know if you got one of those around to give it a try.

    Hello fellow Tacomaworlders,

This is a follow up to a thread I started in 2nd gen on some noises and oil leak from my truck.

I am in search of someone in NOVA who is experienced and willing to help affirmatively diagnose my trucks ailments and then help me fix it. I am not trying to pay 1K at the dealership for them to do this work. I would rather have some of that go to somebody on here who knows their shit.

That being said, I can do basic maintenance but not confident enough to tackle axle work and CV joints. I do not have most of the tools needed nor the place to do it. This is repair work, not upgrades.

So please let me know if anyone is willing to help out. ($$$)

    Thanks

You came to the right place. I know DOUBLLD has helped me out multiple times. I'd send him a PM. He works at a shop in Sterling and was able to help me out on a few Saturdays. His prices are great. Good luck!! R, Wes

If you have a place to work on the truck, I can help you with most things. I worked in a shop for a few years, but I just don't have the facilities to work on vehicles. I live in a high-rise in Arlington.

So the next meet has its own announcement post:

The March meet-up will be on Tuesday, March 25th at 6:30 at Buffalo Wing Factory.
    The address is:
    13067 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy
    Fairfax, VA 22033

One or two members and myself usually show up early to get things started but the meet usually runs about 2-3 hours depending on how quickly the beer is flowing. If you have any questions feel free to ask them here or PM me.

Also, if you have location suggestions throw them out there. We're starting to repeat locations and try to move around the area so that everyone isn't driving an hour to get to the meets.
