Sliders would have saved the side but not the wheels and bed.

Any idea if there is frame damage?

 

Was thinking that myself. I don't know if sliders would have helped or hurt in that situation. Might have saved the rockers, but the impact would have been transferred directly to the frame with no cushioning from crumpling body panels. Might have bent the frame.

damn spruce that sucks, maybe you'll have some money left over after you get your truck fixed to get some new accessories for the spruce taco.

 

Too bad none of us owns a body shop. Could have a body shop mod day to repair the SpruceTaco and save Mike some insurance money for those suspension upgrades he was wanting.

Oo noo spruce! That is not cool, glad u are ok and that u did not flip.. Even more crazy now that we all met and I got to know u a little.

Let me know after everything is said and done if u need help putting new stuff on the truck.

 

They aren't going tto enjoy that. I don't mind doing a regular one, but haven't tried a sc one. Just make sure if they say anything that you inform them you had that SC installed at a dealer.

 

Will do, hopefully they can take care of this easily and quickly.

 

I can typically do one in a little more than an hour give or take.

 

Common problem on these engines?

 

Fairly common. Almost as common as the timing cover leaks. But much less labor intensive to fix. I know I have replaced mine and Will's. And other customers of course.
