I never quite smoking. I just stopped smoking certain things :D

    So angry all the time.

I just had an engineer review my entrance packages for the Freedom Tower that I have been working on for over a year. Turns out I'm .0625" away from the deflection I need to meet the impossible specifications.

Engineer said "All peak deflection values are approximately .0625" above normal glazing thickness and present a very minimal hazard. The probability of meeting or exceeding the 50 pound per linear foot design load during typical use over the life of the installation is extremely low. Application of this linear load to doors not providing life safety protection is considered highly conservative." :frusty:

Jobs already sold and metal is already being extruded down in GA for the door rails. Dam customer springs this crap on me at the last minute and tells me he needs wet stamped drawings for impossible specs. Now I need to make this 1/16" go byby.

:woot: its always nice to wrap up a project.

things are good here...starting to get busy already! we don't normally see the summer rush start until april/may but it seems to be picking up a bit already. Even got a couple Canuckistani projects in the works

Working on them tonight...if I can ever get away from TW . The time change and subsequent lack of sleep has kept me from being able to focus on things. I felt like a zombie the last couple of days! I didn't do a lot of landscapes though, just closeups of the thermal areas. They're different this time of year...amount of sunlight (photosynthesis), air temp, water temp, water content....

 Hope you get back in synch soon. It just dawned on me, because I worked Saturday night, I didn't really "feel" the effect of the time change.

Your description of the thermal areas Winter differences has peaked my interest. I'll wait patiently. ;)

We actually had a guy who wanted to make a geodesic dome one time...then he realized how time consuming it would be to cut the lumber to stitch each piece together...

I thought I'd be OK with the change because I didn't get much sleep Friday night, had a busy day Saturday and slept like a rock on Saturday night...then I was up until like 130 am Sunday :zombie:

The differences are subtle sometimes. Just different colors as some areas are dormant. One spot near Old Faithful that I love is usually are bright emerald green in the summer and last weekend it was almost all orange.

The garage I'm finishing up this week is an eyesore lol. The lake it's on has a 20' height restriction so the garage with loft is stumpy, and it has unequal overhangs that meet from different rooflines and tie into decks. Looks like some homeowner designed it from a napkin drawing. I feel like I'm constantly ducking all the time lol
