Hollister Hills March 23rd

Right on Kevin! Alex and I are meeting in Turlock and cruising down to Gustine. Since Turlock is on the 99 you prob just stay on the 5 and we meet you in Gustine.

 

Hey keak, is that a suspension lift on your trailer? And where are the aux lights? Just playing, but I really want a 40-50 inch radiussed light bar for my roof.

 

Cool, cool. Yeah it's apparently 13 miles and like 30 minutes shorter for me to take the 5. I would'a thought it would be pretty close but I guess not. Normally I take the 99 between here and San Diego because it's a slower and much more entertaining ride and the gas is cheaper and it's only 4 miles longer than the 5 or something small like that.

 

haha you sound like me bud. I'm always calculating distance between points and finding the cheapest gas stations. I think I know every gas station from here to SD

 

Well crap I marked you down for the wrong weekend I guess im out on this trip.

 

I would but my flight doesnt come in until noon.

 

Even though im only a 2wd prerunner I will try my best to make it up every spot you 4x4 people will be even if I have to hit 20 mps going uphill hahaha

 

ebay and craigslist my friend, lmao.... for the trailer its spring leaf suspension and trd billy shock.

 

I also have a friend with a trd prerunner that just moved down from socal that wants to take out his truck. Only thing holding him back is his front suspension because he has a spacer (leveling kit) so thats already a lot of pressure upfront. What do you guys think ? Heres a pic. The one on the left is his obviously as you guys know

 

Hollister hills is pretty slow wheeling. It's not like desert 'mobbin' where you're more likely to break a shock on a spacer by over compressing it (or overextending it) at high speed.

 

At the same point, it is slow wheeling and he might need a good amount of help since he doesn't have 4wd. I think he would be fine, especially if he has a locker, but some parts can be a bit tough in a 4wd if we aren't keeping momentum. I'd tell him to come and he can always part the truck if he doesn't fee comfortable, but he should be fine.

 

Yeah im 2wd just prerunner so im hoping I dont have a hell of a time I really do like desert mobbin though but im up for the challenge!! ill let him kmow im sure he will join thanks guys

 

Where would guys coming from the west of Hollister meet? I'll be coming from Monterey.

 

Is there a meeting place inside the park where the different groups will come together? Like the large obstacle coarse.

 

That's a great question and I was thinking the same. I've never been there so I don't know anything about the park. There's gotta be some tables or something down at the bottom where we can meet. Central Valley guys should be arriving around the same time as Bay Area Folks.

 

This is a noob question but is the entrance to HH on Cienega Rd? Like North/east corner of the park.
