Thanks guys, oh I was so pissed I think I said & called her every name in the book. Can't tell if there's any frame damage but the right rear wheel is turned to th right a bit. My uncle who followed me home after I got my spare on said the ass end was over to the right & he could see my whole left front fender & tire. It definitely felt crooked as I drove it. Now the traction control light is on for some reason.
Guess it's a waiting game now.

 

Well hopefully it's not much harder with the S/C pulley if it's something I'll have to do in the future.

 

I don't think it will be. The SC has a belt of it's own. The serp belt can be loosened and moved so it doesn't have to fully come off. Then I found a way with my impact gun, a swivel, and a stubby socket to get the crank pulley loose. That way you don't have to remove the fan or the shroud.

 

One good thing is they still make those wheels if that one needs to be replaced. Hopefully you can make a lil on it to cover getting the lift you wanted and get your truck back to the way you want it.

 

You know the spot it happened, right in front on the sunoco on 60 & McMullen booth.
Yeah the officer was saying they may have to replace all the wheels but I told they still make them & that one can be replaced. I dont want it fixed I want it replaced, I dont even know if its bent all I can see right now is that dent/gouge.
Not sure about the frame, when I sight down the truck feom the front on the drivers side I can see the whole bedside & on the passenger side only the fender flare. In the rear I can see the cab corner on the left & the right looks almost flush.

 

hopefully the frame isnt bent and its just the metal body, if the frame is bent thats gonna suck

Well I am technically living in wyoming currently but am still a florida resident. I just thought I would check in and show you guys how my truck hurt me this weekend. First pic has some mild grossness to it. This happened trying to remove some cheap led lights I had in the rear where the screws became worthless so brute force was the way to do it.



So here are the pictures of my finger from Saturday.

Initial cut about 30 min after it happening. Cant see it in the picture but I could see the tendon/ligament thingy that bends the finger.



6 HOURS after signing in. This is when they injected the 5cc of numbing stuff and a Tetanus shot.



Sent me home with this thing on.



I didn't have the weird Japanese porn like contraption they had to wrap the gauze on so Vet wrap did the job (and a better job in my opinion).

Believe it or not the cut did not hurt at all. In fact it barely even bled. The thing that hurt the most and still hurts today was the tetanus shot.

That really sucks. It's almost a lose-lose situation. Either they fix the truck and you end up with a truck you had since it was new only now with a previously damaged frame, or they total it and you end up having to buy someone else's used crap...or buy a '14 and end up set back 2 years worth of financing. Only possible bright side I see is maybe it's a chance to join the ranks of the exclusive 4WD club or the slightly less cool, but still distinguished 2WD TRD-OR (Yeah! Lockers over scoops!) club with the replacement--of course, if you're a member of the 4WD TRD-OR club...yer the elite!

 

in my opinion i would much rather have them total the truck if it were
to happen to me, because unless you are on top of the body shop
people. they are just going to use the cheapest parts they can find
so that way they can save money.

the key is if they do decide to repair the truck. MAKE SURE they dont
do this to your truck.

 

Thing is, with a '12, unless the frame is seriously structurally compromised to the point where it can't be straightened and still be ostensibly safe, they will try their damnedest to fix it as cheaply as possible to avoid that big ass pay out.

Even worse is all the work Mike did to his truck. The BHLM, mesh, color matched grille, wheels and tires--unless he kept his old ones, lift, etc... all the little details that made it look so sweet... they probably won't let him keep that stuff if they do total it.

It's just a crappy situation no matter how you look at it.

That rocker panel is the only thing I would let them pull & bondo on my truck, 2 new doors or door skins & a new bed side. The Ins. co will want to half ass it but its your truck YOU are the one they have to make happy with the repairs not the Ins. co.. PM me if they give you any shit on this ,there is a quick fix to get your truck fixed right..

I should hear from the adjuster at the woman's insurance company today & set up a time for them to look at it. Already talked to my insurance & should be hearing back from them to set up a time for them to look at it as well.
I'm hoping if they total it I'll get to keep all my add ons but not sure if they'll even total it. I just know after things like this happen if they fix it it's never right again. I'll just have to wait for them to look at it & go from there.

 

Doesn't involve guns does it?
The rocker panel is completely flat under the rear door, i can stick my hand in the gap & feel the weather stripping.
