seems like every samsung phone (i love their other products) i have owned, i have either a. had to replace it because of something wrong internally, or b. it ended up breaking. i am gentle with my phones too. it that few times when they fall off the seat of my car when im getting out or whatever. my last lg go dropped sooo many times but still worked flawlessly. didnt look pretty but worked and held together.

yeh im stayin away from the blackberrys. dont need the internet and all that, plus i dont want to pay the extra data service fee crap. the dare is optional. my mom has the storm, she likes it, ive messed with it a few times and am not really all that into it. that could be that im not used to it though.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of the STORM if you ever lean toward a Blackberry. It's a great phone with a lot of sweet gadgets but has a terribly long list of inconvenient problems. I've owned one since they were released and have more issues than I'd like.

As for the Dare, I've heard mixed opinions, though my friend that works for Verizon says they're one of the most notorious phones when it comes to service and complaints. So I'd steer clear, if I were you.

    Good luck!

My husband just got a Blackberry Tour. He really likes it. Don't know about the longevity of it, they just came out.

Do some research on the Dare .... I've read the touchscreens aren't the greatest.

    http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phones/lg-dare-verizon-wireless/4505-6454_7-33070218.html

I just got an enV3. I don't need internet access or any of that stuff. I don't even text much - but that full keyboard is awesome. We upgraded our plan so we actually have unlimited texting & picts msgs (for my mother-in-law)so I'm starting to use that full keyboard more often just for the hell of it. I'm also trying to investigate how to hook this thing up to my computer and capture/get pictures & such. My husband ordered larger SD cards for us also.

Honestly I'd pass on the dare. Had a few friends get one, wasnt such a great phone. I think my samnsung omnia is a whole lot better than the dares. But I'm also a business man.....I cant wait for the samgsung omnia 2 to come out. I had an iphone with att when they first came out. loved it at first, till it broke. never again lol. Unless its better and comes to verizon like its supposed to sometime in the future.

thanks for the responses guys. as for getting an iphone, i dont like em and i dont want to switch companies. i guess i should go into the verizon store and play with a few phones. i heard the touch screen was hard with people who have big fingers. i dont have huge fingers but they arent small either. guess i will just have to see

    thanks again

Another problem I had with the dare was the touch screen. My fingers would hit the wrong key. Or It would dial in my pocket

I think Apple is going to stay with AT&T. IMHO. They launched the iPhone for them. Made all this money for them

I have tha Dare and it is awesome though every once in a long while the screen will freeze,, Aside from that you dont need to run a data plan which is extra and the internet is great
