Recently acquired a locker actuator from a fellow member so now my truck is back to being a true TRD.

Also took advantage of the recent snowfall and got some pics of light output on my rear lights and the Hella's.

 

Brad's 1st gen lives on! I'm glad your locked again.

Lights look great btw!

 

Thanks Jeff. I can't wait to put it to use, I'm sure it will definitely help out though I did learn a lot at RC about getting out of situations because I wasn't locked. Hopefully you can make it out this weekend and we can test it out. Not many people are able to come out this weekend as far as I can tell.

do you have the grey wire mod? were both wheels spinning in the ice melt vid. just watched all these videos just now, cant wait for rausch in April!

 

Yeah man I did the grey wire mod before I even knew my locker didn't work. That was locked in 2 high for the ice melt video lol

I think fabio did it, not sure how it is for second gens but it's really easy for first.

 

Maglight mount and quick fusts to mount my shovel. Realistically the shovel could stay there unattached to anything but I like it organized this way.

 

This build just got serious with the maglight

 

needs moar maglight...!

Painted the sliders this past weekend with POR-15:



It's some pretty sweet stuff. Can't decide what my topcoat will be yet though. I want to bedline for grip but I feel like it's matte finish will bother me.

This past weekend was pretty busy between mod day at another members place this past Sunday and then my suspension install on Monday.

On mod day I swapped my rusting holey bumper for a nice clean black bumper from w00dy's truck:





I'm fancy now!

Then on Monday another member (porchop) helped me install a younger leaf pack that I also got from w00dy to replace mine since my drivers side had broken leaves. I took this opportunity to replace the shackles with taller greasable ones, replace the u-bolts with beefier ones, and replace the main eye bolts with greasable ones. Also got newer shocks that Brad had lying around from his old 1st gen.

Pulling the stock shit off:








Lots of cutting and burning happened.

Ran out of jack stands so we used ramps to keep the driveshaft from falling out:



New shit on and getting torqued:



5 hours, a couple beers, and an exploding cut off wheel to the chest later, we got it done.





Oh and we pulled the mud flaps and chopped the exhaust while we were down there.

The cut off wheel made a solid mark despite having on a hoody, and three long sleeves on.



Honestly felt like someone punched me in the chest really fucking hard.
