Whats your plan to finish weld it up? Cut the tacks at the boatside supports and drop the whole thing down? Or lift the cab off the cage?

Lift the cab off the cage. Helluva lot easier. The cab can't be more than 150lbs at this point haha

The goal of this thing should be to have as much flex as a strung out boneless stripper on muscle relaxants WHILE weighing less. Well on the way good sir.

Its good to see some gosh darn progress! Has to be the tightest internal cage I've seen haha.

Massive amounts of flex is over-rated.

Can't remember if I mentioned that I'll be going with 14" coilovers on all corners. Part because that's the travel limit for modified stock class.

I didn't know that, good info. Here I thought it was bc you saw how good mine flexed with only 14's :pout:

Haha that was the other part of it. I was initially thinking of more travel, but if it was ever used for U4 stuff, I'd either swap out the shocks or see if running bypasses and/or limit straps was allowable. But after seeing yours I said F it, I'll go 14"s.

Got the windshield bracing roughed in this morning...

Looks good! Are you tying those into the stock dashbar or a new one?

Since the cage is so close to the skin of the truck and some cut edges of body panels, do you think you'll have any amounts of nails on chalkboard-like screeching sounds caused from driving vibrations on or off road?

Such as in places like this area

true, but the sounds I'm thinking of would make me want to take out my eardrums with a screwdriver if I had to listen to it for any length of time. Such as when driving to a trailhead.

I have a section of 2" DOM running behind the cowling to the A pillars. What I'll probably do is cut the stock dash bar to fit and weld it to the cage.

Only pic I have right now that kinda shows it. I like that the bracing is tucked close to the windshield area.

I don't think it'll be moving around at all. The cab will be welded to the cage in all over the place (mainly along the main pillars) with some dimple die sheet/plate kinda like this -
