I just got off the phone with discount tire and 4wheelparts

turns out this deal from Discount tire doesn't include the lifetime warrenties, mounting and balancing or alignments. which will have to be purchased later

4wheel parts was able to match the deal and throw in a better warranty (off-road damage =replaced tire up to 50% of tread life, then its prorated) along with mounting and balancing.

So you got the tire price plus mounting and balancing for free essentially? So if I got the Duratracs then I would pay $744 and have free mounting and balancing?

Did they allow you to take a total of $200 off of 4 tires?

yes, they differences were as follows for 315/75/R16's BF Goodrich KM2's

Local Discount Tire: 1759.00 - Out The Door with balancing, warranties, taxes and two transactions of 2 and 3 tires

Yeah, basically i got the local discount tire shop to match their online price for the tires then add on the mounting/balancing/pro-rated warranty

4wheelparts will be cheaper in the long run with these tires and adders (Given that i have free replacements of on or offroad hazards/tire failures, up to %50 of thread life.)

I called 4 wheel parts and they wouldn't price match it cause its on "ebay"

How did you get them to price match it?

Their list price is already lower than the marked up eBay deal, plus I only told them that discount tire had this price. Etc. I never mentioned eBay.

this isn't the first time. They did back last year sometime, but just with wheels and tires. Maybe it'll be an annual thing for them.

So I called the company and a rep said that as long as the tires you are trying to buy are "in stock", the promo code should let you take the $100 off. He said the promo does in-fact run until 3-16. Hope this helps someone.

I went into American tire with a print out of the deal on eBay for a set of 4 285/70/17 nittos they matched it and added $16 per wheel for mount and balance. Walked out paying $750 all said and done for nittos, pretty good deal if you ask me

I'm trying to decided if I want to get the Cooper AT3's ($520), try to get the ATP's if they'll allow it ($470), or the Duratracs ($684). I'm tempted to try for the ATP's since it would be $200 less than the Duratracs and I drive a lot on the highway so they will last longer and more suited for the freeway, but aggressive enough for wheeling.

I got my notice immediately with tracking number and the tires came 2 days later.

I'm getting my Goodyear Duratracs installed at the shop right now.

Yeah I got my notice later last night and 3 of them are on their way, but one hasn't been picked up yet...really hoping it still arrives with the others or the latest Friday.
