Anybody who approaches my car I go on the defensive. I actually had some guy get out of his truck behind me while I was waiting to turn left at a stoplight once just to ask if I had a cigarette  Didn't roll the window down or anything. I always be sure to leave a good space in front of me too when I stop just in case I need to drive away to escape.

I hear ya. I always try to think of scenarios and how I would respond ...but ur plan can change based on their move and sometimes adrenaline
Ex: when I had the attempted trespasser at my residence the other month, I already had a plan b/c the wife and I have discussed it before...but one different move from him could change my entire game plan...we can plan/train for the worse, and just hope it goes according to your plan.

My dad has taught me well. I also always sit facing doors if I'm at a restaurant or something and evaluate where the exits are. Haha

That's why I hate a lot of the classrooms at school. Death traps.

Aaron, I wasnt trying to argue that the d bag shouldnt have been shot I was just saying that if a citizen would have pulled a gun and shot him that there would have been a ton of questions as to why they used deadly force, and very likely they would have jail time. If i was put in that situation I would have let him have my vehicle and saved myself the jail time is all i was getting at. If he wanted to try and fight me for the vehicle and i felt my life was threatened then thats a different story thats all.

Depends how the DA sees it based on your statement I would presume...They hit ur vehicle to take it...but if u can't justify you felt threatened for ur life or others.....

Yes. If it is your home. I do not think Castle doctrine applies to vehicles in CO.

    Colorado § 18-1-704

"...any occupant of a dwelling is justified in using any degree of physical force, including deadly physical force, against another person when that other person has made an unlawful entry into the dwelling, and when the occupant has a reasonable belief that such other person has committed a crime in the dwelling in addition to the uninvited entry, or is committing or intends to commit a crime against a person or property in addition to the uninvited entry, and when the occupant reasonably believes that such other person might use any physical force, no matter how slight, against any occupant."

I always thought your vehicle was an extension of your home, so you are able to use deadly force if you feel that your life is in danger.
It was explained to me that if some a-hole comes in your house, armed or not, you can shoot them if you feel that your life is in danger.

A weapon does not have to be present or used in order to endanger a life. Bare hands can kill too. All it takes is intent.

Now I could be wrong so please correct me if I'm mistaken.

    IN THE FACE

Edit: couldn't make it past the fence....does he even lift?
haha

For real, I would not let him get away.

At first I figured adrenline..but I think drugs were def a factor.

Also, I can't believe how easily he car jacked people. This is why I ALWAYS drive with my doors locked. They didn't even make an attempt to run away. I'd floor it in reverse or something. Seems only the subaru fought back but ran into the cop.
exactly...just go!

Same when in Afghan....we even have strap cutter on all our flaks incase we get snagged up during a attack.

    yep

    Rally car? lol

I would have beat his ass

If you can't articulate that your life and the lives of others are in danger when you get hit on the highway and some fuckstick tries to throw your ass into traffic, then yes, let a mofo commit a crime of violence against you. If you can articulate it, and you know you can, shoot the fucking cockface, two to the dick one to the face!
