This thread needs to stop going so off track. Fishing is a great topic for the BS thread, but we need to get this trail run nailed down.

Let's get a list going of who's interested in a run.

This....as much as I love fishing, we should try to keep event details here, and misc items in our BS thread.

Do it, you won't regret it.

I taught myself (a little help from a friend). Just watched some videos on youtube to get the technique and just went out to the river and practiced. By mid summer a buddy that's been fly fishing his whole life said it took him 5 years to get to the point I was at. So yes, it's definitely doable in a short period of time.

I'm in...Saturday's weather doesn't look ideal for camping so I'm down for a run.

Think a stock trailblazer would make it down okay? My brother-in-law may be interested in coming but don't want him holding anyone up.

Man I don't want to be the one screwing this up but from the last few random trip posts it looks like Metberry, this Saturday, no meeting place or departure time has been determined yet.

    edit;
Looks like what was mentioned was Bunce, Metberry and Eagle Rock, and I'm under the impression they are close to each other?

Metberry stuck out because of the fishing discussion so I don't think an official choice has happened yet.

Bunce is in Boulder, Metberry is in Divide, Eagle Rock is closer to the Springs but you have to go up to Divide to get to it since the road from the Springs side is still destroyed.

So I looked again at the weather forecast and of course whenever I want to do something it snows. lol Sunday looks like it will be better weather wise so I think we'll shoot for that. I'll recheck everything on Saturday and give the final word.

    Sunday March 16
    Meet time: 9:00 am
Meet Place: Rudy's on highway 24 in the Springs

    Metberry Gultch: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=209
    Longwater Gultch: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=310
    Hackett Gultch: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=311

Bring an axe if you have one as the burned trees tend to fall and block the trail.

I would be more interested in doing bunce just because it is closer to foco. But metberry looks like it might have less snow. Not even sure if I can go but I am going to try.
Edit: Lauren, are you trying to do all three?! How long does it take to get there from foco going through divide?
