    I did this exact drive on my way up to the outer banks, it took about 2:30 from Charleston, lot of lights and stuff.

    Yeah, I didn't mind though, it was fun to look at all the stuff, though I didn't realize it was gonna be a 10 hour drive :eek:

    There are a ton of people selling baskets on that road, if you need baskets.

    We have road side vendors like that in philly too, but usually they sell crack and BJs. The baskets are at least kind of nice. My GF wanted to buy one but they were like 60 bucks :eek:

    There's some decent surf, Francis Marion is 20 minuets up the road, Sullivan's island has great food and mount pleasant is right there too. I work on iop pretty often there's not much but golfing and old mean people. Oh and don't speed there. They'll pull you for doing 1 mile over. Most people do 3 or 4 under because the cops are RIDICULOUS!

    Edit: there's really good fishing in the intercostal too if you can find someone with a small boat
