You won't even make it to any of those trails rigt now off bunce school. The snow was deep last weekend up there when I rode. You can only drive it from the north side and can't get to camp dick yet.

I wish I had ninja skills lol. I'm still here. I'm taking an exam early today so I won't have to do it after spring break but I'm leVing after that. Maybe I can get my CB fixed too.

You guys just need to leave the wife and kids at home and come down. She can't be mad at you going for just 1 day. Besides Travis I made the trip all the way up there, you might as well come down here and wheel and pick up this rim.

I have a hand held CB you can borrow if you don't get yours fixed.

For the FoCo caravan, I'm thinking of leaving around 6:00 am, looks to be a 2 1/2 hour drive and I drive slow plus the dog will need to pee somewhere along the way.
I'm on the West side of town, so if anybody wants to join, let me know where you want to meet, Chuckie Cheese works pretty well as jumping off point.

Yeah that's be good. Thanks! I think there's a place in the springs I can take it to and have them check it. Might try that as well

For the Canadians, are you guys thinking of meeting in the springs or doing the back route via 285 to deckers?

Also, did some quick mapping and it looks like I25 to springs to divide to trail is about 2:30 while the back way through pine junction and deckers is about 2:55. Following the directions from TrailDamage is also about 2:55. Looks like 67 is the slow road. We might want to head to the springs, further in miles but less time with all the speeding on I25.

I know she won't be mad at me, especially if I can urge her to go spend time with her friends who have kids. THey can play at the park while I :burnrubber:
Why leaving at 6a.m.?! I really think that if we go the back way it will be faster and they won't even get to the trailhead until 10. We could leave at 7 and be there on time.
I got 2.5 hrs going through Pine. Wonder what I am missing here. I guess I am just getting directions to deckers, since I don't know what to put in for the actual TH point.

Not sure exactly where on Cedar Mountain Road the trail is, but to get to Cedar Mountain from say longmont via 285 looks something like this:

    Google Map

Deckers down 67 to Stump rd down to Cedar Mountain is almost an hour all to itself.

I think I have found the trailhead on Google.

Looks to be a 15 min difference in driving time. That isn't including the stop at Rudy's.

Here is Fort Collins to Rudy's

Okay, that makes sense now. For some reason I thought the trail was right outside of deckers for some reason. That seems like a ridiculous way of getting there, but highway mileage is better and if I can trim down the time NOT on the trail, that would be great. Now to just work on the wife. If she really wants to come, I'm all about having my fam with me. We will see.

Sweet. Stay the trail lists the coords for the trails at N39 04.705 W105 16.321
So Longmont to trails via springs/divide is 2:55 total. Longmont to trails via 285/deckers is 3:06. So I guess either way works.
Springs we can meet up with the Messicans and shoot the shit for a bit at Rudy's.

I was just going off the straight shot up I-25, I'm open to a different route, anything off the interstate is appealing to me.

If you type in "Hackett Gulch, CO" into google maps it will take you to the trail, if that will help you decide which way to go.

I am down to convoy down from Fort Collins.

As far as the wildly different times go... It *should* only take 2 hours to get to Rudy's, but with "traffic" turned on it adds another hour. I am willing to bet that Sunday morning the highways would be pretty dead. I think 6:30-7 we could still meet up with everyone at Rudy's at 9.

I'm still a maybe, however maybe I could connect with the ft Collins crew on their way through Denver. Any suggestions on where I should meet y'all? I was thinking Cabella's or hell I could just pull off the side of 25 by 470...
