Nice, clean cb install! I thought about putting mine there but I like the pocket and didn't want to cut it out. Looks great though, mine is on the passenger side, I'll post a pic this weekend.

4.56 is more highway friendly while 4.88 is better off road. What size tires are you running?

Are they really? No wonder they get such good highway mpgs, what would that be like 8rpm at 70 lol.

I'm interested in gears sometime but not at the moment, too much $$$ for the time being. I'm probably gonna try to hold off until I go to 35s or bigger, I think 4.56s would be a bit high for 33s, my stock 4.10s are just a hair low... If I could get ahold of some auto third members that would be nice :D They're 4.30s right?

Something like that. I know the street trucks like to pick up our 4.10's. The taco would be fun to drive with tiny tires and lowered :p

I am going to buy the gears/rear locker and then wait on installation. Breaks up the price and makes it "realistic" in my eyes.

Hey did you take off your fenders? I zoomed in and saw holes where the fenders should be and was wondering is that what mine would look like if I rip off my black ones

I'd be happier to see a short bed reg cab.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I can't imagine living with less bed space.

Makes sense, hard to shell out all that cash at once. Going with 4.88s?

Yeah ill be getting 4.88's which also means Ill need to jump in tire size as well :(. Gears/locker is just so much money. Definitely the elephant in the room for a lot of us 4bangers :p.

I think 4.30 s were only for 1st gen, They had alot more gearing options depending on the configuration.

Not sure yet. Certainly an option . I would really like to test drive a set with the new gears before purchasing though. If treadwright started producing some more I would probably have a set by now.
