Yeah that's not bad then. I priced it out on East Coast a little bit ago and it came to $2660 for the same thing I bought so prices have increased a little in the last couple years. IIRC Mike paid like $500 more than me, but $250 of that may have been the different compressors. I can't remember if we factored that difference out of not.

I didn't keep my gears, but I don't know that I couldn't have kept them. Not sure if they would have said anything if I had kept them. I doubt they sell many stock gears. My rear ring gear was shot anyway so it didn't matter and I may not have made much on just a front.

What compressor did you go with? I ended up going with the larger one. Seems to be worth the upgrade. It will be nice to have something to air up finally :p.

I went with the single ARB. Mike Got the Twin. I wish I would have got the twin but oh well. Maybe I can pick up a twin down the road and pair it up with my single and have tons of airflow. haha

Yeah, $250 more for the twin.

FWIW, JTs wouldn't give me anything for the 8" 4.10 but I did get $50 out of them for the front 7.5" gears. :notsure: I guess there is a market for those. haha

Ooo then the deal gets better for me :).

Post processing of long exposer shots is rediculous. 10 minute shot felt like an hour of processing

I don't know? Maybe it's a Sony thing. It actually only took 10 minutes on my last 10 min shot so I am probably just impatient. I think I am kinda getting a hang of it.

    youtube or viemo??

Yea would be nice..be about 650 with install kits.

haha as per usual with damn video stuff..

wow, been like that here too. was 80 two days ago..was like i skipped spring...and i love spring.

wait..did you get the twin?? or just the normal one? there are 3 compressors.

1 tiny one for just lockers
1 medium for lockers and tires
1 big one for tires lockers air tools.

    What?? :der:

    thats...odd..

its taking your camera 10 mins on top of the 10 min shot you did?? There is a setting that is on you need off. What it is doing is doing a total black shot the same amoutn then combining the too to get better darks. Doesn't work great. Auto nosie redutiion of something like that. look it up and turn it off and never go back.

also..10 min isn't very long for star trails. need 30-180mins.

Ya I remember a guy on youtube saying you have to turn off a setting. Ill have to find that again...such a waste of time haha. I know I needed longer shots but I was just playing with different times to get a feel for it. Longest was 15.

HAHA you crack me up man haha

i like the commenting towards me :p haha

really though with the focusing..for most stuff..it looked fine. didn't need to refocus a lot.

otherwise the best thing is getting a focus ring setup...and that is $$$

I think the key is gonna be better lens and bodies really..ha  go figure..

but for what we can do..a lot will be like action shots and stuff.

sad to hear the other style didn't work out.

haha yea it worked but just too much for taking out on adventures... It was weird just talking about random stuff in the middle of nowhere by myself, I laughed a few times at what i was doing lol

edit: yea, i've gotta practice more too. It's all how you hold it and focus on walking with it. I'll probably get the other one out and do a short vid with it so you can see.
