One should only run FOG lamps when needed. Clear nights don't requiere FOGs.

If you disagree, why don't you say why instead of just saying it's an "idiot remark"?

cause i think you are an idiot if you say " one should" should is a strong word, if i said, you should shut up, would that bother you, yes, if i said, i wouldn't chose to speak at this moment, that would be an opinion worth listening to.

    But thats just my opinion

Fogs shouldn't be used ONLY on foggy nights like the poster said. They should be used whenever you need more illumination. As in when it rains and the wet road seems to absorb light from the head lights, offroad trails where you need all the light you can get, sometimes even during snow storms.

Hell, I use mine to help light up the unmarked roads around my house to help differentiate between road and the ditch or field it merges into.

So a blanket statement of "One should only run FOG lamps when needed. Clear nights don't requiere FOGs. " IS stupid.

So.... "when needed" covers the things you mentioned - raining, offroad trails, snow storms, right?

What I was saying to the other guy, was that it seems kind of crappy to have posts saying, "You're an idiot." Followed by another post that says, "No, YOU'RE an idiot." "No YOU are." No your MOM is." etc. etc. etc.

more light the better u can see. i kno from experience that this does matter being in South Georgia. The deer are horrible if you are going down back country roads (which there are a lot of them) and you never know what else u may spot. and as far as having them on in the daytime, well i think it looks badass, plus dont most cars come with running lights in the daytime? i just think of my stock fog lights as being running lights because in all honesty, you can see an approaching vehicle better if their lights are illuminated. and mine are aimed correctly. and i am not talking about kc daylighters, those are a different story

I agree. :D I leave mine on for more visibility without having the head lights on considering those are eye level to most cars. I hate truck headlights when I'm in my corolla as they are all at eye level. At least with the fogs being lower they aren't as blinding. The regular headlights will light up the back seat of just about any car when I'm behind them.

But I also like the fog-only look...

And sometimes just the DTRL. I like having options :D
