Harbour freight has stands for pretty cheap . They will be tall enough I have 2 sets . Hit every nut and bolt with pb blaster or wd40 and let them soak over night . If you have any questions post them . Many of us have done it a bunch of times.

 

This. I also found that it helps to hit all the bolts with a good stiff wire brush to get as much surface rust off as possible. That helps the pb blaster get into the bolt and break up the rust.

I'm more than game to work on my truck in the cold, I actually prefer it! It's the paint adhesion that's the issue.

Do you guys have any thoughts on EBC brakes? Theres a group buy going on right now and im thinking about grabbing some.

 

I had the yellow stuff pads and LOVED them

 

i had EBC on my street bike . they were nice .
ive had Hawk pads on the tacoma and hated them .
Now i run the cheapest pad at advanced auto .

 

This might be a dumb question but how worth it is the upgrade? I too saw the group buy on the EBC brakes. Reason I ask is bc imho I think the stock brakes on the truck are pretty good as is. (although that could be a very skewed opinion as the brakes on my previous 4runner were horrrrrrrrrible.)
