I remember reading on here about changing the speedo gear to compensate for 33s. I need to get out with my GPS to get the actual difference, but it's reading pretty low.

Anyone have the part number for the different size gear or other info about the swap?

As far as I know, Toyota did not offer anything other than a 7.5" front diff for the 1st Gens.

Here's the one I put in my old truck when I had 4.10s and 255/85r16. It made the speedo almost perfect.

You wouldn't happen to know where to look up the different speedo gears, do you?

with 285/75r16s and 4.56 gear ratio, I'm about 8% off and really need to get around to fixing it.

If you can find one... I looked around here and there was nothing. Make sure you do the spin test before you buy one. If it has A04 as the axle code, it's not actually a 4.56.

I bought it at the stealer years ago about when the first supercharger came out. I think that's what some TRD branded 4Runners had and only a few had them, so it's somewhat hard to find. My windshield is all cracked up so it's goodbye decal for me after all these years. :(

New 5100s ride excellent. Now I need to pick up the add-a-leafs for the rear. My airbags are at 30psi to match the height in the front and it rides like shite. The longer travel shocks also cause the bags to stretch at full droop which won't end well if I don't take care of it soon.
