A wonderful forum member is going to let me borrow their floor jack and stands for the weekend. I'll be giving it a go on Saturday. Shouldn't have too many problems, just have to be slow and steady is all.

NO worries, I totally understand that. Wife is giving me a gracious amount of time to get it done. I'll have a full day to work on it. I should be able to get it done.

That said if anyone is bored and wants to check it out, I'll be hanging in the garage most of Saturday!

Struggling to get it done. Everything has been very stuck. Nothing has come off easy. I'm about halfway done but I am running out of ways to get stuff off

May just have to put it back together and fry again another day

Got the sway bar removed. Got the uca bolt undone and the ball joint separated but I busted a socket and stripped a wrench out on the top bolts for the coil assemblies. They wouldn't budge an inch.

Pb blasted them and finally got one to give out but with no socket and a budged wrench I called it quits.

I'll blast it down again over the next few days and I'll give it another go soon. Gotta go get better sockets though.

Frustrating to say the least since my old 08 came apart so easy.

No big deal. I'll just give it another go another night. If I can't get it done without some other sort of tools I can always take it to Rino or a shop and have them do it for me.

Just out of curiosity, I called robertson tire for a quote on installation. It came back at just over $1,000 for install.

At that price I figured I could buy myself some nice air tools and floor jack and do it all very quickly in my garage.

Seems a bit outrageous to me....

Haha, no. I was really taken back by that. I thought 250-300 would get it done pretty easy. It's not a super hard job, especially if you have the right tools. I just broke most of mine and then got really frustrated.

There's no way I'm paying that much. Once I get some time I'll give it another go myself.

Saw this nice, shiny taco at the gun show today, so I felt it would only be appropriate to park my muddy taco next to it
