    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    Did a little work on the truck today. Just maintenance oil and tires lubeed the links and I thought I had a issue with one of the link bolts being wallowed out but come to find out I need to replace my clutch :(. Now im resurching what one I want to put in the truck I know im going high performance stage 3 most likely just what brand is the question.

    What do you think about the Marlin crawler heavy duty clutch?
    I was thinking about picking up the 1200 pound one. It seems to be quite a bit cheaper compared to what you have posted, are the advantages to what you posted Weyworth it?

    If the URD one maintains the stock pedal feel, I'd look at that one.

    Nothing sucks worse than driving in traffic with a stiff pedal.

    I want holding power with 37's 5.29 gears and the SC I need it to hold when i stab it. The marlin has a 33% over stock holding power and the CC has a 180% the torque capacity then stock. Also marlin don't have any for the 3.4l from what I can see. Price is not an issue at this point.

    Yeah I'm leaning towards that one I'm Going to call gadget tomorrow and see what he thinks is the right one for my setup.

    Ummm..I think you might misunderstand the point of a flywheel. With your monster tires you want a heavier flywheel, not lighter. Heavier flywheel means more inertia and keeps the engine RPM up when shifting gears. A lighter flywheel will be less inertia and will drop RPM faster when shifting gears, typically used in drag racing. Yes it's less rotating mass so the engine will spin up faster, but shifting gears is going to suck.

    Whatever you chose, check out LCEngineering. They have both a heavy 38 lb steel and a lightened 13 lb aluminum flywheel for the 5vz.

    Think of it this way. You have 37" tires. When you rev your truck to about 2k rpm and dump the clutch, it wants to bog down fast, if not stall. If you do the same thing with a lighter flywheel, the flywheel has less moving inertia and the truck will be even more likely to stall. On the contrary side, a heavier flywheel will store more energy and that stored energy will transfer to the tires. It just takes a little more effort to get the engine up to the same RPM range with a heavier flywheel, but the engineis more likely to stay up in that RPM range once you get there.

    General rule of thumb, if you're shifting gears a lot because of hard accelerations/decelerations (track/road racing, drag racing, circle track, etc), you want a lighter (and aluminum) flywheel. Since you own a TRUCK...and a more of a crawler at that (37's, twin cases), the last thing you want is your engine to drop RMP's faster when having to shift gears. Just my 2cents, but for your truck, I would think you wanted to keep your momentum up on hill climbs.

    Might I suggest you replace your pilot bearing while you have the clutch out. It's right there once you pull the clutch off.

    Clutch, pressure plate, throwout (release) bearing, pilot bearing, flywheel, and flywheel bolts (properly torqued). I have the clutch alignment tool if you need one.

    Pro-tip...put your pilot bearing in the freezer for an hour or so before installing it. Makes it easier to tap into place without ruining it (don't ask :anonymous:)

    A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
    The heavier flywheel is money, and you're going to love it. When your clutch engages and the power hits your transfer case without bogging down the motor it's night and day. I bought one from LCE for the 2.7 (was doing a new clutch anyway) and would rank that mod as a must, with the most driver satisfaction.
